I returned this dash cam. After installing the app on my Android, I read their (China) terms and conditions. Talk about Big Brother! The app monitors your driving speed, texts and emails and will collect and disclose the information.Terms and conditions:1. You can't oppose the Constitution - what the hell does that mean? Do I have to be Constitutional lawyer to figure this out?2. Can't incite ethical hatred3. Can't violate state religion policies4. Can't spread gaming or pornography5. Can't insult or slander others (tell that to Congress)6. Endanger national security7. Harm national honor (What does that mean?) Remember this is a Chinese product.I could go on. There is more. But, I think you get my point. Big Brother is watching and reporting you. Read the terms and conditions on your app when you set it up.

I do like using this camera while driving because it gives me peace of mind, which is extremely important to me these days. I have both the front and rear cameras going and recording while I'm driving, which means that it is recording the road in front of me as well as everything that's going on inside of my vehicle. I guess the part about everything inside my vehicle really isn't nearly as important because I'm not a ride share driver or anything like that, the only occupants of my vehicle other than myself will only be my wife and my kids but I still keep it on just out of fear that I might miss something I guess.Both of the cameras work really well, they both have really clear video, both during the day and at night. Somehow I seem to always have really good, clear and vivid footage, when I go back to view previously recorded footage. Whether it's during the day or the night, whether it's the front or the rear camera, whether I'm driving through town where it's extremely well lit or if I'm driving through the back country roads where there's no light other than my headlights. Regardless I always have really clear, optimal, vivid footage. Also the audio is always very clear and crisp. I never really have any issues trying to hear what was recorded.The camera comes with instructional pamphlet of course, tells you how to go about setting everything up, it would prefer you install the app on your phone so that people in China can have access to your footage. That's for the camera was made is in China and I'm sure that's where the app comes from, if you install the app and operate your camera through the app then I have no doubt that your data is definitely being monitored by China.I however, do not use the app for operating my camera. I have never installed the app and don't intend to. It's not as easy I'm sure, too navigate through your camera options and everything without the app, but there again my operating without the app provides me peace of mind.I feel like the asking price for this camera is slightly overpriced, but probably not by a whole lot. It is a really clear and reliable camera for a decent price. And after all who can really put a price on peace of mind...

As you can see from the attached pictures and videos, the camera quality is decent when in good lighting, underwhelming in direct sunlight, and poor at night. The rear camera is much worse than the front camera in direct sunlight and low light, and is basically useless at night.Minor annoyances: Some dashcam 12 volt plugs come with a USB port so you can still charge your phone while the camera is plugged in. This dashcam plug does not. If your car already has an USB port, this doesn't affect you.Second is that suction cup dashcam mounts are not reliable and my dashcam falls off every month or so.Third is that the rear camera mount is designed to be mounted on the outside of the car, so if you want to mount the rear camera on the inside, you have to do some finagling with the mount design.I won't return this and I will keep using it, but you get what you pay for.

I got this dash cam to use in my golf cart. My cart is street legal and licensed for use on public roads. I wanted to be able to document events if I'm ever in an accident in the golf cart.The camera has a nice display size, and also has a back-facing camera. It plugs into a cigarette-lighter type power port.I wish it had a USB power cord also, but it's okay.Overall, it's a decent dash cam.

It only records 5 minutes and you have to press button every time you may be in a collision to turn it on to record

This dash cam was easy to install and worked right out of the box. The screen is clear, the design is low profile, and it does not get in the way while driving. I like knowing it is recording both front and rear without needing constant attention. It connects easily - haven't had any issues with that so far.What really sold me is the peace of mind. It makes me feel more comfortable both while driving and when my car is parked and I am away. Overall, it does exactly what I wanted it to do and feels like a smart, practical addition to my car.

I'm not tech savvy so I was worried about my ability to set this up. Thankfully it was pretty easy to install. The video quality is sharp, and everything seems to function as it should, although there seems to be lots of functions that I haven't used yet. The night vision on the camera is clearer than I expected. I like the peace of mind this brings in the event that I have an accident. I docked it a star due to the privacy concerns related to the app you are encouraged to install on your phone.
