This is the second Neat Receipt scanner that I have bought. It is easy to use and I like how small and portable it is. I have used their tech support and they are very nice and helpful. Highly recommend their products.
I purchased this scanner about a year ago and have been able to scan less than 10 receipts since then. The main problem seems to be the non-robust driver software. After a few scans the software will glitch rendering the computer useless to scan any more receipts. The Neat software will forever crash whenever a new scan is attempted. I have removed and reinstalled the software numerous times, including two software upgrades within the last year, with no success. I've loaded the software on a new computer with the same results after only a few scans. Trying to use the product support function on the Neat website leads to more frustration. Searching for other remedies for this problem leads to an understanding that a bad scan leads to a damaged scan image queue. But there is no tool that will clear out this queue.DO NOT BUY A NEAT PRODUCT UNTIL THE COMPANY PUBLICLY ACKNOWLEDGES THE CURRENT DEFICIENCIES AND DELIVERS A GUARANTEED ROBUST, WORKING PRODUCT.

Doesn't really work efficiently. Labels receipts as documents. Dates and amounts are only right half the time. Slow as molasses when scanning and converting. Wasn't what Ithought it was. Wasted money. Still hunting for another.
Does not come with a manual. Takes a while to figure it out.
Neat does the job it's makers claim. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase. It is helpful that, most of the time, Neat captures the essentials accurately. However, one cannot assume that every scan will be totally accurate. Also in a few instantances, I have wished the software provided additional features/options (e.g., recognition of tips included on restaurant receipts).Additionally, I've found that the scanner's "roller" is easily soiled. Only one each of wet- and dry-cleaning papers are included. You can order additional wet-cleaning papers on Neat's Web site, but I was unable to find the dry-cleaning papers available. Yet even with its limitations, Neat is the easiest way I've found to keep track of the large number of receipts I collect each month. And that not only allows me to keep tax related receipts orderly, but also to more easily verify charges that appear on my credit card bills.
I love this little gadget super easy to use its quick and pain free if your not tech savvy like me and now I can throw away all those reciepts
I wanted to like this scanner. And honestly, the scanner itself is well made and does a good job. However, the software that comes from the Neat company is not good enough.First it is very slow on my 2015 Macbook Pro (2.8Ghz and 16G RAM). Opening folders with ~500 items in it takes it over 4 minutes. I understand this for the very first time I may open the folder after a new install -- it has to download the content from the cloud account -- but it does this every time I've opened that folder.Second, it got stuck uploading and I'm not sure it ever finished my last ~70 receipts. I could see the items in the upload queue, and I could see that there was one that appeared to be the one it was working on, but I couldn't change it. Nothing on their support site about this problem. No response to my request for support. After trying several things on my own eventually the queue "cleared" but I don't know if those items made it in (I was not keeping good track of how many I should have had at that point).Then, when I decided I had enough content (and with tax day looming), I tried to get reports or the data out (CSV, XLS, etc). This shows a major failing in the software. It simply freezes, eventually going blank (within a few minutes), and never recovering. I've restarted it several times and it does the same thing each time. I uninstalled/reinstalled (after verifying my content on the cloud), and it still locks up on trying to export to any file type. I've had to "force kill" the app when it does this.Finally, and most damaging, is that the company has not responded to my support requests. The site is hard to use -- you login, you see your content, you pull down to request support, and it asks you to login again. You want to go back to your content -- login again. So I open a case anyway, and I get an automated note about "we try to respond within 72 hours". So four days later I send a request (replying to the email). No response. I open a "Customer Service" request instead of "Support" request. Another automated email. Several days later and still no response from the company. When I login to their site I can't see either request under my account.Based solely on my experience with the software and the company behind that software I can't recommend this product.

All items are uninspected and the condition is unknown unless otherwise explicitly stated. Items labeled as “New” are believed to be unused and in original manufacturer packaging; however, packaging may show signs of storage or handling, and items are not tested unless specifically noted. Individual items are available for inspection at Korting Outlet located at 159 1st Court, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49534 during store hours.
The highest bids serve as legally binding contracts, and all sales are considered final. Items are sold on an “as is” basis, without any guarantees, warranties, or the possibility of refunds, whether written, expressed, or implied. The operational condition of an item may not be known or listed in the item description. While we may provide information on the condition of some items, including items marked as “New,” such information is not guaranteed.
All items are sold with all faults and without any warranty, whether expressed or implied, regarding merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The sale is conducted on an “as is, where is” basis with all faults. Buyers are strongly encouraged to physically inspect items before placing bids during the inspection period. Auction Closing Times
Posted closing times are in Eastern Time and may be extended through dynamic bidding. Dynamic bidding extends the auction close time until there are five minutes without bidding activity. Korting reserves the right to close early or extend auctions at its discretion.

Refund Policy
Due to the nature of liquidation merchandise, returns are accepted only under the following circumstances:
- Wrong item received
- Major undisclosed damage that significantly affects functionality or value
- Item arrives nonfunctional or dead on arrival (unless listed as untested, for parts, or salvage)
- Missing critical components necessary for basic operation that were not disclosed in the listing
- Counterfeit items or items materially different from the listing description
The following conditions are not eligible for return or refund:
- Buyer’s remorse or accidental purchases
- Minor cosmetic wear, scratches, dents, scuffs, or signs of prior handling
- Damaged, worn, or missing retail packaging
- Compatibility issues with buyer equipment, software, or intended use
- Missing non-essential accessories, manuals, inserts, cables, or packaging materials unless specifically stated in the listing
All return requests must be submitted within 72 hours of delivery and include clear photos and/or video documentation of the issue. We reserve the right to deny returns that do not meet the above criteria.
Sales Tax
All orders are subject to the 6% Michigan sales tax. Tax-exempt buyers must have a current tax-exempt certificate on file before sales tax can be removed from an invoice.
Failure to Pay or Remove Items
Korting reserves the right to charge a 15% non-refundable restocking fee for items not paid for and picked up within seven days of the auction closing. Such items will be considered abandoned and forfeited to Korting. Korting may resell any abandoned or forfeited items.
