-Haven’t actually set it outside yet, I don’t wanna switch her out into a new cat house at night(I’ll update after about 2 wks) Putting it together was my hubs job, little bit of a pain, it only comes with a piece of paper, pretty much telling ya the bare minimum like most directions anymore. Anyway, it’s thick vinyl, very strong Velcro strapping. Has a good sturdy attached cord to the heating pad, works great (so far). Escape door magnetized nicely. Awesome pink color, was a bit worried the color wouldn’t be exact. Still wrinkly but I’m pretty sure it’ll smooth out. It is pretty lite, it does come with a couple of stakes to ground it. My husband just finished the peak so I’m hoping with this one being raised up off the ground & the peak partially covering, she won’t keep getting snowed in this winter or blown away like the last lol.The outdoor cat came with the purchase of our home lol, She’s (pickles) about 13 pounds. She’s gonna fit perfectly with some room to spare. I bought the smaller of the 2 houses. Again, after a couple of weeks I’ll update how it’s working out.

I was skeptical of this house when it arrived and I saw Made in China on the box. But it is very well constructed. It was easy to put together once I got going but I will save you one mistake I made so you don't. There is a flat padded foldable silver piece of cardboard probably but silver on both sides. THERE IS A SLOT IN THE BOTTOM OF THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE, look for that. Otherwise, you will have to take it apart to insert this piece as I did. Otherwise, it went smoothly. As far as it being "waterproof", I think you will find it to be "water resistant". There is a very thin plastic cover thing that does go right over the house with a hole for the vent but I do not think this will last very long. But the house itself is nice. There is a plush heating pad that covers 2/3 of the floor area. It is not operated by a thermostat that you have to set. This is what I was looking for as I have to be out of town and wanted some source of heat. When I placed my hand on the pad it immediately began warming up. A nice little food or water dish came with it. It was intended to place inside the house but I would worry that a predator might try to get in the house for this so I am not going to use it inside the house. I think you will be very pleased with this house. I hope my ferals start using it. I ordered another brand which is arriving tomorrow and will be able to give you a comparison on that house. This house had gone off sale is the reason I ordered the other brand when I decided I needed two houses. This house will hold two cats.

Overall great product. However when the house was folded for packaging, the escape door flap was not folded correctly and would not seal properly on the house. Used a small piece of Velcro on flap. The flap is now sealed and still functions as emergency door.

Sturdy and quality heating pad. Ive had it running for 3 ir 4 months without unplugging it. I like the escape door and so does Lewis the cat 🐈

Took abi2 weeks for my cat to go into his Cat house outdoor escape. You plug it in and it warms up in which it's wonderful for winter.

This is very cool, well constructed, easy to put together.. lol, the stray cat seems to have zero interest in it though.

Did I get the same cat house as everyone else? First of all, instructions are poor. There are just some enigmatic and pixellated photos and a list of parts. I followed it as best as I could. One side of the bottom does not attach to the flimsy plastic frame as far as I can tell unless the narrow shiny strip with velcro on both ends is somehow supposed to do something- I don't know since this strip is not included in the list of parts and I can't see it referenced in the photos. I can't see where it should go at all. The other side fastens with velcro. The result is that the house is not sitting securely in the frame and any movement at all and it comes askew. I ended up attempting to secure the house to the frame with a bungee cord but this is not really working. I assume the heating pad goes inside the house and the power cord feeds through the hole? My resident cats are strictly indoor and I got this for a feral cat that has been haunting my yard. If the parts, assembly and instructions are this poor, worried that other parts may be faulty too and plugging it in so this feral cat can stay warm (it is snowing here already) will cause my house to burn down.

This pink cat house is so darn cute! Unfortunately, I can't get the right stray cat to sleep in it, but I'll keep working on that. It was very simple to put together and so far hasn't blown over easily in wind.
