Beautiful fan and reasonably easy to install. Gives off nice lighting, and I love the variable speed fan and the ability to dull the lighting.

I have never had this much trouble installing a fan.Notes:- Unless you have a low ceiling, use the longer downrod that is provided. As others have noted here, it is a tight fit to get the ball mount seated in the mounting bracket when you have wiring and remote unit taking up limited canopy space.- Went through a lot of effort and fan didn't work. Did all the trouble shooting, nothing. Reached out to manufacturer and they were responsive. They were starting to run me through the trouble-shooting process via email. I said, 'Let me stop ya right there.... I've done everything that I can find online to get this to work. No dice.' They said, 'Well then. New remote unit on the way.' Installed new remote unit and fan now works perfectly.- Good air flow, Quiet, Low Price, low-key steampunk look. If it weren't for how frustrated I got installing the thing it would be an easy 5.

I've installed at least ten ceiling fans over time and this was the easiest fan to install of all of them. The packaging was very secure and the fit and finish of the fan is outstanding. I'd never heard of this brand, but I would not hesitate to buy anything Edishine branded again. The quality is very good. The hardware kit was especially thoughtful with the correct amount of fasteners (including wirenuts) for a complete installation. The remote also comes with batteries and a wall mount kit.The assembly instructions are very thorough and easy to understand, although the sequence they recommend is not necessarily the best one. I put the fan assembly up first and then installed the blades. Any other way and you're fighting the blades to install it. The lighting assembly was installed after the blades making for a "top down" assembly process which worked well for me.The fan is super quiet and very powerful; I never have had to run the fan any higher than level three on the remote (there are six). The remote is also assignable, meaning that if you have more than one of these fans (as I do) the remote pairs only to that fan. This keeps it from errantly turning on and off by another remote in an adjacent room.A couple of things to consider: The short mounting stem would be incredibly hard to install considering how much wiring and the control module have to be installed in the canopy. Plan on using the longer stem. These fans don't come with any lamps, so purchase your choice of lamps separately. This fan also has a dimmer, so if you buy LED lamps, get some that are capable of dimming if you want to use that feature.Lastly, the only complaint I have is not with the fan but with Amazon shipping. They shipped this fan package inside a much larger box. There was nothing else inside the giant box but this fan box. No packing whatsoever. SMH in disbelief when I opened the first one.I like this fan so much that I bought two more.Cheers!

Assembly instructions are a waste of time. It beeps everytime you change anything. It cant function on only a switch YOU HAVE TO USE THE REMOTE. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.waste of time and money.

Once the fan is installed, it's great. Looks and works wonderfully. I normally don't review products but want to share a few tips to avoid you some frustration. The instructions it comes with are horrible. Google the name and model number. There is a much clearer YouTube installation video that shows each step. The reviewer who mentioned profanity with the 4 inch down rod was 100% correct. There is hardly any room to get the wires and box within the canopy. I was able to make it work after many times going up and down the ladder. Do not connect the fan to the remote box before you get the fan onto the mount. Connect the wires in the ceiling to the remote box. Stuff the wires into the ceiling as best you can. Put the ceiling fan into the mount. Slide the remote box into mount above the ceiling fan. Connect the ceiling fan wires to the remote box. I imagine that using the longer down rod would not cause nearly as much frustration as there would be more room to work with.

The fan is quite sharp looking and works very well. It is whisper quiet and the range of speeds is impressive (other fans we bought have the lowest setting run so fast there's not much difference between the speeds).The install with the 4" down rod was somewhat challenging but if you follow directions you should be ok.We liked it enough that we bought the same style in a smaller size for the master bedroom.
