Be aware when purchasing that, fully extended, it is definitely bouncy. I don't think it's unsafe, but it will likely feel that way to some. I'm an engineer and I know that size tube is way stronger than needed to support my weight, but it was still quite noticeable when climbing it all the way up. The rung locks work well, as do the hooks at the top. It is a great ladder for being able to carry in a normal car and still have long reach at a client's site. In fact, I can just leave this in the trunk of my car and always be ready to inspect something. I used another ladder that was the rigid type that folds in quarters. That was definitely more stable-feeling, but it took up most of my trunk and still didn't reach as far as this one. It was also very bulky and harder to carry. The carry handle and strap on this one are really helpful for carrying with one arm. It's also nice that I can extend this as needed, so on my last inspection where I just needed to get up in a client's attic through a hatch in a closet, I could just extend the bottom few sections (even in the closet) without needing a lot of room to unfold the ladder, and it feels quite solid at moderate extension heights like that. Be aware you'll most likely need to extend it from the bottom first so it's not a huge stretch up to the first rung, but that means either lifting the weight of all the sections above if you already have it in position, or pulling the bottom sections out with it laying down and then having to lift it up into position, which might be awkward in tight spaces. But just go into the purchase knowing that more joints = more deflection and smaller tube diameter = more deflection, so having all the joints in play and climbing up at the smallest diameter rails will just necessarily be bouncier than a rigid ladder, and set your performance expectations accordingly. If you value ease of transport and compactness, then bounciness is the tradeoff you have to make for that.

This is an incredible ladder! The design is very unique and it's very easy to carry. The ladder extends layer by layer, getting longer as you pull it up. However, be careful when retracting it; you need to press both sides simultaneously for it to retract downwards. It was a little scary the first time because we didn't follow the instructions properly. We really like this ladder; it makes it much easier for us to get into the attic. Because it has hooks to secure it at the top, it's very safe to use.

We had a very bad experience with this ladder. My husband was using it to go up on our roof when one of the ladder sections suddenly dented/bent while he was climbing. My husband only weighs 172 pounds, so the ladder definitely should not have failed under that amount of weight.When the ladder bent, it caused him to lose stability and fall. Thankfully he wasn’t more seriously injured, but it was still a very scary situation and could have been much worse.For something that’s supposed to support a person’s weight and be used for work around the house or roof access, durability and safety are extremely important. Based on our experience, I would not trust this ladder’s strength or reliability.I hope the manufacturer looks into the quality of these ladders because situations like this can easily lead to serious injuries.

Me llegó antes en perfecto estado. Fue muy fácil desplegarla. Soy una persona mayor y sola así que es el producto ideal para mi porque es liviana y ocupa muy poco espacio. Recién me mudé a un departamento muy pequeño con solo una habitación, pero tiene un ático que es la solución para hospedaje de una visita que espero para los días de navidad. Los ganchos que tiene me decidieron a preferiría sobre otras parecidas pues le dan firmeza y seguridad para una persona que como yo no tiene a otra para que le tenga la escalera por si llegara a resbalar. Viene también con unos guantes para proteger las manos por si se equivoca y no sigue las instrucciones para manipular la escalera. En mi caso la desplegué muy fácil solo halé cada escalón y éstos fueron desplegándose y asegurándose automáticamente. Tal vez cuando haga la operación inversa y la vaya a guardar los use. Trae también un par de seguros de repuesto. Debo confesar que un buen rato me devané los sesos pensando dónde irían ese par de piezas hasta que lo deduje. Es ka mejor compra que he hecho en mucho tiempo. Ya la usé y se siente muy firme. Espero poner mandar una foto, lo he estado intentando en vano. Antes de decidirme por este producto investigué en esta y en otras escaleras todas las opiniones. We were very happy when we received our RIKADE Telescopic Ladder. It is very sturdy, but not too heavy to carry. It adjusts easily to many different heights, and collapses back down, one section at a time. It stores conveniently in our garage, not taking up too much room. We would recommend this product to anyone who is nervous on a regular ladder, because this one feels safe.

Purchased this ladder about a month ago as I was looking for a space-saving telescoping ladder. This is an excellent ladder for light to medium duty use. I am using it for interior painting, had one occasion to use it to get up to the eaves. The feet have a rubber grip base which provides adequate slip protection, although as with any ladder, care is required to ensure that the base is well placed and secure on the ground.The two hooks at the top is another feature I was looking for as it provides an additional degree of safety. To retract the ladder, you need to use both hands to push the two sliders inside - be really careful here as the ladder will retract downwards quickly. Make sure you keep your fingers away when you retract because it comes down hard and fast. There are sufficient warning stickers placed all over the ladder alerting users to this. I believe this is the case with all telescoping ladders.I'm about 175lbs and as I go up it does lean in but this is par for the course for a lightweight ladder. I like that I can carry it under my arm and moving it around to different areas is a lightweight task.Overall, I am pleased with this ladder as it meets my needs quite nicely at the right price point.
