I bought the Clawsable (small) raised heated shelter for the loner, of the colony cats I’ve been caring for (TNR), and even though he is still a little apprehensive, I can already tell this house is a winner.First Impressions:Right out of the box, the quality stood out. The structure feels sturdy, the materials are thick, and the raised design gives great protection from ground moisture. Assembly was quick and everything zipped and aligned the way it should.Warmth:Even before the cats fully trusted it, I stuck my hand inside and the warmth was immediate. The heating pad warms up evenly and stays at a safe, steady temperature not too hot, just a cozy, gentle heat that’s perfect for cold nights. The insulation holds the warmth incredibly well; you can actually feel the difference the moment you lift the flap.Design:The elevated base keeps it dry, and the double-door layout is great for nervous or semi-feral cats. The extra escape route makes them feel safer, which I think will help them fully move in once they learn it’s safe.Real-world use:Right now the cats are curious sniffing around, popping in for a moment, then darting out. But withnew houses that’s totally normal. What matters to me is that the shelter is dependable, warm, and ready for them the moment they decide to settle inside. I can already see paw prints around it, so it’s just a matter of time.⭐ ProsExtremely warm heating padInsulated walls hold heat wellRaised base keeps it dryTwo doors for safetySturdy, weather-resistant buildEasy to assemble⭐ ConsNone yet just waiting for the new cats to fully trust it.⭐ Final Thoughts:Even though my outdoor cats are still getting comfortable with it, the build quality and warmth of this Clawsable heated shelter are outstanding. Once they realize how cozy it is, I’m confident this will become their favorite spot all winter long. Highly recommend for anyone caring for outdoor or feral cats.
Great Buy, Easy to assemble, Lightweight but sturdy. Cats Love it, no hesitation to get in and cosy up for a warm nap. I would buy again.Just wanted to add that I've already ordered a second house and it arrives tomorrow, 11/11/2025.
This heated cat house has been absolutely wonderful for my feral cats. It provides a warm, secure place for them to rest during cold weather, and the heating element keeps the interior cozy without overheating. I feel much better knowing they have a safe shelter when temperatures drop. The house is sturdy, well-insulated, and clearly designed with outdoor cats in mind. My feral cats started using it right away, which tells me it’s comfortable and inviting. If you care for outdoor or feral cats and want a reliable heated shelter, this cat house is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!
We unfortunately had to move our indoor cat outdoors last summer due to some behavior issues (it was that or euthanasia per our vet). We felt really terrible for her last winter when it got below freezing, even though she had a diy feral cat house. I wanted to get her something a little nicer this year to stay warm through the snow. We’ve already had below freezing temps and half a foot of snow. This checks all the boxes for a cat house:- waterproof fabric, with an added clear plastic waterproof cover too.- heating pad which gets warm enough to cut the chill, but not hot by any means. Perfectly safe for an animal.- two entrances/exits for added safety with other animals.- a divider which helps keep the cold out, allows for a place to put a food bowl that is separate from the sleeping area, and also slows other animals down a bit too.- easy to put together (with no fiberglass particles noted). This also means easy to take apart and clean if needed, but we haven’t done so yet.- even with the divider, it is plenty large enough for her… and she’s a pretty large cat. What I don’t love:- the emergency exit flap closes with magnets. This keeps animals from entering in this direction, and (in theory) allows the flap to close behind the animal if they need to exit. Our cat uses this as her preferred exit method, and the magnets do not seal back very tightly. The emergency flap is nearly always open to some degree and I’m sure let’s cold air in because of that.In typical cat fashion, she still uses the feral cat house every once in a while. She does not like when food is placed inside the house, and to be honest that just attracts neighborhood cats that fight with her anyways.I am happy with this purchase and feel that it is still a step up from a diy feral cat house, but the fact that the magnetic flap doesn’t close all the way after she uses it prevents it from being a 5 star product for me.
The cat house was purchased for my relative, who had taken in a cat from a friend who had suffered a stroke. The cat was raised as an indoor/outdoor cat and nothing has worked to keep it from getting outside when it's determined to do so. The cat house is sturdy. Well-made and very easy to put together. It came with a heating pad and cover. A white cover to put over it if needed. It stands up off the ground and can be anchored down. My relative used an outside-weather extension cord to help it reach a plug-in on his porch. He has come home and found the cat inside it waiting for him. It's worth the cost as it's an upgrade to some other brands that I have purchased in the past for outdoor stray and feral cats over the years.
We put it out on the big porch which has a roof, so cat house doesn'xt get rained on. It was purchased for Winter use, for those couple/few weeks of really cold weather we can get in Florida, or if our kitty needs a hideout from the pesky neighbor cat-bully. Lid lifts up and Velcros closed, in case you need to get in there (you don't have to reach through them little door). Camo design is a good subdued color/pattern so it doesn't stand out and annoy my husband. There are plastic sleeves that hang over the main door so cats need to learn/figure out how to walk through them. It has a side escape hole in case something uninvited gets nosy at one of the entrances. The pad on the bottom plugs in and gets warm. It doesn't get hot, which is good. If she would use the house, she'd probably like the warmth under, but she won't use it. She's not like the cats in the advertising videos. Even though she's picky, the house is still good.
Well it is a nice little cat house bet unfortunately my cat will not go in it. No fault of the house, it's well made and easy to put together.
To small almost for one cat, let alone more! Ordered 3 returning two, only because I put one together. Had it plugged in now for two hours, seems ok for heat! Just to small!
