This is a fantastic mixer for beginner bakers who have small kitchens! It’s really adorable and compact. I absolutely love the fun aqua color. It’s probably not the best mixer on the market, but for such a low price it’s very high quality and a great deal! It's small but perfect for small batch baking. It’s very compact, which makes it convenient to store, and it’s lightweight, which makes it easy to move around and clean. It’s easy to set up, take apart, and clean. All of the attachments and the bowl attach securely. The tilt head works great and is super helpful for adding ingredients to the bowl. The whole unit is very sturdy and durable. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, so there is not much of a learning curve. The suction cups are quite strong and keep the mixer firmly in place. All 6 speeds work well, and the fastest speed is quite powerful. Consequently, you can use this mixer to make pretty much anything! I highly recommend this product and think it would make a great gift for a novice baker with limited counter space!
Okay, so I DID end up returning this Mixer, but hear me out! It wasn't because it was a bad product, it was just a little too small for the HUGE batches of cookies I like to make for, like, the whole neighborhood. That said, this mixer is seriously ADORABLE and feels super well-made for the price. Here's what I LOVED about it:Compact & Cute: Seriously, it's tiny! Perfect if you have limited counter space. The bright color (I got the aqua) was a total bonus.Powerful Enough: It handled some pretty thick cookie dough (before I realized I needed a bigger bowl!) without struggling. All 6 speeds seemed to work well.Lightweight: Easy to move around, which is a big plus for me.Easy to Clean: The bowl and attachments are all dishwasher safe, which is a HUGE time-saver.The 3 Quart Bowl is Sturdy: I was genuinely surprised at how robust it felt, especially considering the price point. Stainless steel is always a win!Tilt-Head Design: Made it easy to add ingredients and scrape the bowl.Great Value: Honestly, for the price, you can't beat this little mixer.Ultimately, I needed something bigger, but if you're a casual baker making smaller batches of cookies, cakes, or frosting, this DASH mixer is an absolute winner. It's powerful, easy to use, and looks great on your countertop! I'd totally recommend it!
I originally learned of this product while at a thrift store. I found one that was used and crusty, but still functional, for $20, but found out that I could buy it "used - like new" on amazon for only $8 more. After receiving it, I tried it out by making some no-bake cheesecake filling. It struggled for a moment with the cream cheese, but worked perfectly fine after I pushed the cream cheese down into the bowl again and off of the beaters. I did end up finding some lumps of cream cheese in the final cheesecake filling, but that may have been due to user error. However, do keep in mind that the beaters do not reach the bottom of the bowl, meaning you may have to be more involved to ensure everything is thoroughly mixed. It did manage to make whipped cream pretty easily on the highest setting, and did not take too long to reach stiff peaks. It is relatively easy to clean, though I do think some amount of debris may be stuck in the little plastic bits on the bottom part of the beaters. I am not sure how to clean that part, but I am not too concerned about it.For such a small and inexpensive stand mixer, it is extremely powerful and moves very fast. Fair warning, it is LOUD even on the lowest setting, which is already very fast. I do wish that there was a slower setting, but it gets the job done just fine regardless. You should also keep in mind that the bowl does not spin on its own with thin mixtures, so you will have to manually spin it until your mixture thickens.I had no issues with it shaking due to the suction cups on the bottom of the machine, which was nice. While being very stable, it was still easy for me to manually detach it, and lightweight and small enough that I had no trouble putting it up into the pantry for storage. If I could, I would absolutely consider getting the full matching set of appliances that Dash offers, if only they all came in pink!
Shipping time and everything included:This mixer arrived in 5 days. It came with two dough mixer attachments and two whisk attachments and one stainless steel bowl.Looks:The color of the mixer which is why I bought it is beautiful. The chromish strip at the top and through makes it look good but also at the same time makes it looks like horrible quality.Attachments removal:The mixer has a big eject button at the top to remove the attachments with ease.Bend the top back:There is a button on the right of the device which you hold down to bend the top up as shown in the second stock pic.The speeds presets:There are 6 speeds on the top right where it seems most of the time that 4 itself is high enough. I have not once gotten into a situation where the attachments had stopped and/or jammed. They were always spinning when set to, no matter how sticky the substance.Bottom lever:There is also a lever at the bottom front of the mixer where you pull left and right moving the bottom enough to find the perfect rotation of the bowl. If the bowl for some reason does not spin you just move the lever around and it should work. It also helps when there is something that was not mixed at one side of the bowl. To move the lever you hold it down and slide to as far as you want to move the bowl. Then you stop pushing it down and slightly move it left and right until it locks into place. It's very easy and no explanation was required to be honest.Suction cups and wire length:The length of the wire is about three feet long. There are five suction cups at the bottom which as soon as put down, allow the mixer to be in place making it hard to accidentally knock down. This has been useful in many occasions. The bowl placement:When placing the bowl onto the mixer you simple put it on the black surface and simply spin the bowl to the left while holding the black surface in place. Though one problem I have noticed with this is how easily it removes. I feel that it might spin off when it is set on a high preset speed but I have not once actually experienced it. I have used it on high settings and stopped it to see if the bowl had come loose but it stayed rotated far to the left to be considered locked. It seems safe and doesn't seem like it will spin off but it looks, just by the eyes, like it is loose which just turns out to be how it looks. It's not actually loose. My thoughts:Personally I felt it is worth it for the price this mixer is at right now. The speed settings make it well worth it. The slider seems to work fine and the best part is that it isn't some cheap mixer that gets stuck when mixing some hard substance. Definitely worth it for its price.
More of a toy than a real useable mixer
I recently bought the Dash Stand Mixer in Aqua, and it’s been great for my baking and cooking. The 6-speed settings give me perfect control for everything from light whipped cream to thick cookie dough, and the 3-quart stainless steel bowl is just the right size for everyday use. What I love most:Powerful but compact—fits easily on my counter without taking up too much space.Easy to clean—the bowl and attachments are dishwasher-safe.Versatile—I’ve used it for dressings, frosting, meringues, and even bread dough (the dough hooks work great!).Cute retro design—the Aqua color brightens up my kitchen. The only small downside? If you’re mixing very thick dough for long periods, it can get a little warm, but for everyday baking, it’s fantastic.Perfect for: Home bakers who want an affordable, stylish, and functional stand mixer without the giant size or price tag of heavy-duty models. Highly recommend!
I’ve had a home bakery going on 9 years. I’ve definitely collected an assortment of appliances since then! I started with an Oster stand mixer that was gifted to me. I soon upgraded to a 3.5qt KA mini as I needed a better whipping option for meringues and such. Shortly after, I went bigger with a KA 7qt pro, followed by the 7qt GE profile smart mixer, followed by a 5qt KA tilt head. (Sorry, the larger ones are way too heavy to include in the photos.)These were tough acts to follow but the Dash was an easy choice. For my current need, I was really looking for something that was small enough to move around with a tiny footprint. But it needed to stand on its own as a disability limits my limb usage to 20% (no heavy lifting for me). Plus, they had it in pink! I did read a lot of reviews so I did know what to expect. The speed is pretty fast but depending on where the bowl lever is set can increase or decrease the spin action.Although they state that the attachments are dishwasher safe, I didn’t want to chance it based on other reviews reporting rust or breakage. It’s also a bit annoying to clean the whisk attachment that has the rubber grommet (downside to not running it through a dishwasher). But a few extra seconds of brushing (automated dishwashing brush) got it clean. As light as it is, it initially felt like a toy… like the counterpart to an easy bake oven. But it’s definitely not. Being super light, they include suction cups to help keep the mixer in place. Very helpful as it’s even challenging to press the buttons unless it’s suctioned to a sturdy surface. Button on top to release attachments, button on the right side to tilt the head back, and lever in front under the bowl to rotate the bowl placement.Although it does include “dough hooks” it’s worthy to mention what Dash considers a use case for those attachments. The instructions do state that the whisk attachments be used to start the mixture, but also suggests switching to the dough hooks for thicker mixtures. This totally made a difference with thicker buttercreams and fillings. For size reference, the Dash mixer is nestled in the middle of the Artisan mini and the classic Artisan. Welcome to the bakery family! 😅
I bought the aqua color Dash Stand Mixer and it was delivered 11-12-2022. Upon opening the box, the mixer was well packaged. Honestly, this looks and feels like it should go in a child's toy kitchen. It's plastic.I thought oh brother, did I waste my money or what.....but I decided to give it a go. I bought this to use instead of using my handheld blender. I recently started making my own butter from heavy cream and itneeds to mix for around 10-12 minutes or so before it turns. So I washed everything well and went to work. The mixing bowl is nice and a fair size. It anchors onto the platform by lining up the guides and turning the bowl clockwise. You can't feel it lock into place, or at least I can't, so I tested it to make sure it was locked in place. The mixer also has little suction cup do-dadsto hold it onto the counter. Plugged it in and let 'er rip. It's pretty noisy. Since I started with heavy cream I used the beaters, not the dough hooks. The speeds are marked 1-2-3-4-5-6, That's it. Not whip, blend, beat, cream, mix, etc. So you kinda have to guess. In the instruction booklet it says you should not run the mixer on a high speed for more than 10 minutes because you might overheat the motor. I though, oh great, I need to use a high speed to get the heavy cream to turn; but, I started out on a lower speed and worked up to setting 4. I noticed someone said their bowl doesn't turn by itself. Well folks, if you're beating eggs or something light, ofcourse it's not going to turn by itself! Once the heavy cream started to thicken up, that bowl went around on its own with no help from me. There's also a little gadget sticking out the front so you can adjust the bowl for the beaters to stay more centered, or off to the side. Anyway, after about 12 minutes, the heavy cream turned into butter and the motor did just fine. I think one needs to proceed with caution about just what to mix with this appliance; I read someone makes cheesecake. It's probably ok for that, muffins, cake batter, etc., thing that you would make with a hand blender. As for an actual dough, I won't do it. Light items only for this lovely colored plastic mixer made in China. Bought the extra warranty too just in case.
Considering the price of this mixer i cannot fault it at all. I bought this for my small business making batches of cosmetics/bath products. The bowl is so much bigger than I thought and is quite tall, which is perfect when adding powdered ingredients as they don’t puff out when you turn the mixer on. Even the slowest setting was good enough to whip up solid Shea butter easily which I was quite impressed with. There is an option to slide the bowl along the base with a lever, this isn’t something I’ve seen before but found it really useful because you can move the bowl to make sure the beaters catch whatever is on the sides. The stainless steel is really easy to clean and the design is lovely and very cute. It’s compact and small but still big enough to make a decent amount. I have even put away my expensive kenwood mixer and replaced it with this one because it is so much more user friendly and light. You can fit it in a narrow kitchen cupboard with loads of space still. It is so sturdy as well and the materials are probably better quality than mixers I’ve had costing over £100. I’ve also found expensive mixers might shake a lot and move around on the worktop but this didn’t even budge. I love this little mixer and honestly can’t find one thing wrong with it for the price which surprised me as I wasn’t expecting much for £13. I’ve seen a lot of people write negative reviews on this mixer (there are a few on amazon) because it is small but that is the whole point and it is ridiculously cheap.
Ótima batedeira! Pequena e potente! Atendeu todas as minhas necessidades!
While the pricepoint is good, the product is flimsy. It is made of plastic and when mixing it moves on the counter. I bought this for my mom, because she is to weak to stir and can't lift the larger heavier models out there. This one is light (which may be it's downfall) and the directions say you only have 3 minutes of mixing time and then it needs to take a break?!But, Very nice color, lightweight and easy to work.
Such a great mixer for the price! 😀Just whipped up a batch of brownies no problem! Bowl is far bigger than i was anticipating and compared to how it even looks!Plenty of speed choices and has the option of moving the bowl from side to side both to add ingredients and to mix the whole bowl. Always use a spatula to get any missed ingredients in my other one anyways. It’s really lightweight and small so good for storage 🙂 comes with two beater types for cakes etc and doughs. Even comes with a book of little recipes :)Overall would definitely recommend :)
