We recently got these stair treads for our wooden stairs, and I’m honestly really happy with them. My dogs are usually all over the stairs, running up and down, and before these mats they would slip a lot on the polished wood. The silicone particle backing grips the stairs really well, so even when they sprint, everything stays in place. I also love that it does not leave any sticky residue, which is a huge plus for me.The padding and quilting are surprisingly comfy underfoot. I noticed right away that climbing the stairs felt softer and quieter, especially when carrying laundry or waking the kids in the morning. The treads are easy to install, just lay them down, press, and they stay put. I did let them sit flat for a few minutes before pressing to make sure the edges stayed smooth, and that made a difference.The color and pattern are subtle but nice, it actually looks good on the stairs without feeling like a safety product. I also appreciate that they are machine washable; after a few weeks of foot and paw traffic, I just tossed a couple in the washer and they came out looking new.The 15 pack covers our full staircase perfectly, and I like that the mats are thick enough to be protective without being bulky or getting in the way. Overall, these have made everyday life a little safer and a little more comfortable, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone with kids, pets, or just slippery stairs, they make a noticeable difference.

They are not really self sticking without tape or glue. We had to buy carpet tape to make them stay in place

These are some very nice quality treads that are padded and look stunningly beautiful. They look amazing on our wooden stair steps, as they offer warmth to the place where they are located. It appears that the treads are washable, too, making for easy cleaning. The color is muted, but it's perfect for our needs.I am a bit concerned that the treads will be a bit slippery. The underside is coated with some grips, which help to offer stability for the treads. However, the fabric on top is a bit slippery to me. This can be particularly concerning for older individuals or those with stairs that have more than a few steps. This affects the product's functionality. That said, we plan to continue using them and will be careful to tack them to the steps in some way.Please see my pictures for a better look at the treads themselves.

These 8" x 30" treads made our wood stairs way safer for the dogs. The silicone particle backing grips well, so no sliding when they take the stairs at full speed, and there’s no sticky residue on the wood. Installation was simple: lay them down, press, and they stay put. The quilting feels soft underfoot (and paw), and the blue looks clean and understated.Practical stuff: the 15‑pack is enough for a full staircase, they vacuum easily, and machine washing brings them back to new without fraying. A couple of tips from using them: clean the stairs first so the backing can grab, and let the treads relax flat for a few minutes before pressing them into place. If you’re tired of pets slipping on finished wood, these are a straightforward, low‑maintenance fix.

They appear to be well mad. The fabric and quilting on these is distinctive and they are pretty. But it is also a bit odd. They look like table placemats made into rug runners. They stay in place ok for walking but not if you're wiping your shoes off on them. I don't think the little studs on the bottom work as well at holding the mats in place as I'd like. I would not trust these on stairs with more than 4 steps and I wouldn't use in a home with children or seniors. Because of the fabric and light single color dirt will be more evident more quickly on these.
