I waited to review and have been using this humidifier for a month now and I highly recommend it! Mist free, easy to refill and use. Effective for my studio apartment. I was having such a hard time breathing through my nose due to dry air this winter and excessive heat from my building but now I can breathe normal thanks to this humidifier. There is a learning curve but it’s straight forward. The sleep mode eliminates light and can get silent. I like the UV light feature and that you can wash and clean filter! Read the directions and this will work great for a room or studio spaces!! Mist free is the way to be!

I have owed many humidifiers over the years. I’ve always thrown them away when I could no longer get them clean. This design makes cleaning a breeze! The functions on it are really great! “Sleep mode” is great with no lights and a quieter fan. I don’t worry about things collecting condensation bc of how this puts out the mist. If you’re on the fence, just buy it. It’s absolutely my favorite so far!

I absolutely HATE this.First, it has symbols around the rim that apparently are cuneiform cuz only the light bulb and the power in button are iconic and mean anything.Then the directions are confusing. Apparently u can hit the three horizontal lines and manually set 40 or 60% humidity OR u can hit the A button and have the machine automatically set humidity at 40 or 69%, whichever u choose.😳🤔. What’s the difference? And why can’t I set it to MY choice of, say, 63%?Then, no matter how often I align the triangle with the circle, the dumb thing continues to shut off after one hour instead of continuing.And finally, u can’t see the water level thru the clear slit - it’s too dark inside to see the water.Am so frustrated with this expensive piece of garbage. Life should not be this hard.Am tossing it and going back to my old brand.

First, the customer care provided by Provirtec is top notch. They response quickly to emails and answer the questions at hand. I did not have a problem, just general questions about the product.I am anti-misting humidifiers. They're messy, difficult to maintain, and almost always end up breeding some sort of floaties. The Provirtec is indeed mist free and truly evaporative, which is not new by any means but they put some extra thought into the design.Pro's:- The design is very aesthetically pleasing. We run Winix air purifiers in each room and this looks great beside it.- It is indeed mistfree, evaporative. The way they approach it is not very efficient but it does work well enough for a small space.- The control are easy to use and the addition of a sleep mode and timer is nice.- At the end of the day it does humidify a small room (kids room or bedroom)- The unit is very easy to clean and maintain.Con's- The humidity sensor is poorly placed so when the unit is running the measured humidity is not accurate. In my testing this made the humidistat function unusable. The unit would this the humidity level was reached when indeed it had not. Internal room humidity levels were confirmed with 2 other sensor types so I had levels to compare to.- The way the top and bottom nest together allows for some warm-air bypass. They really need a small venturi on the fan inlet to make it more efficient.- The control is easy to use, but some of the buttons are redundant.- The using of tap water claim is bogus. If you live in a hard water area, like me, then you'll want to use filtered water. Sure there will be no mineral build up or white dust build up but that is due to the evaporative design, not the water quality. The minerals are still there, they're just being left on the media after the evaporation process instead of going through the air stream.All in all, I will probably get another one for the second bedroom in my home. With some 3D printed mods I'm happy with the operation at the price point. The operation of the system as-is is probably fine for most users, I just happen to have the tools the measure how well it really works :-). Perhaps the smart version that includes the humidity sensor is better but I don't want to mess with another app.

This is the best humidifier I have ever used. Like many people, I started with ultrasonic humidifiers, but quickly realized they have a major downside — using tap water can create white dust, and using distilled water all the time becomes expensive.I then switched to evaporative humidifiers, but my previous model used a set of densely packed evaporative pads that easily grew mold, and cleaning them was difficult and frustrating. This design solves those problems really well. It’s easy to disassemble, and the parts can even be washed directly in a washing machine, which makes maintenance much easier.Compared to similar products on Amazon, it’s also more compact and has a stylish, modern design. Highly recommended.

I've had several types of humidifiers over many years and this is the one I like best. The older ones have a filter that you have to replace all the time. And the fans inside get dusty and they're really hard to clean. The last 2 years I've used the kind that leaves a white film on everything, and I mean everything, i.e., walls, floors, anything on top of tables, glasses, lamps, etc. If you have white painted walls, that's okay. But any other color and you'll have to wipe them all down at the end of winter. I have this one in my bedroom. I read the reviews and most negatives can be resolved if you read the instructions. And I love the fact that you can machine wash the filter. I have a small gadget on my bedside table that shows the temperature and humidity. It almost always shows the same humidity level as this machine across the room. I would and HAVE recommended this humidifier.

I've owned several evaporative humidifiers that eventually mold by dead bugs resulting in huge cleanup tasks or still usable filters thrown away, but this one is hard to penetrate and has a UV light to prevent mold. The filter is unlike the paper filters that other brands use and is easy to clean.A slight annoyance though is that sometimes when you recombine the head, the humidifier doesn't detect the link despite the arrows pointing toward each other. You have to wiggle it a bit for it to properly reconnect.Overall, a great humidifier.

I’d buy it again but if the room is silent it is noticeably louder than you’d expect.
