I was gifted this set. It is very complete and professional looking set up with all the tools you need to infuse botanicals into you whiskey to enhance its flavor. I wanted it for the 16 different botanicals. Also came with a great booklet that explains the flavor of each. That was a real plus. Stone cubes , tweezers, stirrer, tongs filters were all good. Heavy storage box with plenty of padding. This kit will allow me to experiment and find new drinks with subtle flavors. So for drink making purists can still drink the straight whiskey but can do some experimenting to have new options. I recommend using White Dog or Moonshine or other clear corn liquor. They got it on Amazon for a very reasonable price. Great early birthday present.

Im not a drinker but my boyfriend is a bartender enjoys his whiskey and rum. I got it as a gift for him to expirement with the flavors for his own liquors and he loves it. The glass bottles are really pretty to leave out and make it so you dont have a liquor store on ur counters. It comes with a little book to tell you how long to infuse each one in different liquors which also helps give you an idea of which ones pair well together. I only wish they gave you a little bit more of each infusion cuz it seems like you can get three infusions from each individual flavor before you run out.

This kit is such a fun way to experiment and feel slightly fancy while doing it. The variety of infusion materials gives you a lot of options, and the quality feels well thought out.The containers and tools are sturdy, and the setup is easy to follow. It’s a great mix of functionality and presentation, making it perfect for personal use or as a gift. The flavors come out well, and it’s fun to customize your drinks. Overall, great value and a really enjoyable experience.

We have whiskey brands that my husband doesn't like and they've been sitting on our shelf for a long time so I'm hoping he can change up the flavor to make them better and to also make them disappear. This is a decent kit that contains 16 different flavors. It comes with 2 decanters that really are on the cheap side but, being there are 2 of them so you can flavor 2 at a time if you prefer or use the extra to filter into. The kit is pretty comprehensive and contains all the tools that should make the process easy (funnel, filter bags, filter screen) but not all of them are explained so reviewing the product pictures will show the real purpose behind the wire mesh filter and funnel. This would make a good gift but I won't gift it to anyone but my husband because the little manual is sooo poorly edited that it really gives the impression that they didn't care on some aspects of this kit. My list of pros and cons.....PROS:- The kit contains the necessary tools (should explain the purpose behind some of them though), small whiskey stones which are nice and the price seems reasonable compared to other kits.- 2 decanters to allow you to flavor 2 at a time if you choose or use 1 to filter from 1 bottle to the other.- 16 flavors to choose from with some more common ingredients like peppermint, cinnamon and apple and others I've never heard of like codonopsis (apparently poor man's ginseng) and osmanthus (flowering plant from the olive family).- Gives recommendations on spirt to use for specific ingredient. Also describes the effects of the ingredients and suggested infusion times.- Comes with reusable whiskey stones and silicone tipped tongs.- Tweezers are large and have nice spring.- Jars containing ingredients are sealed.- Labels are nice for marking what spirit/ingredients were used along with the times started/ended.CONS:- The bottles, while decent enough, are somewhat boring and not very thick with plastic corrugated looking stoppers that are similar to those pouring spouts.- There is no actual diffuser so ingredients will float and hopefully sink. That's fine unless it's time to do your taste test and you're not yet ready to filter out the ingredients. I guess if they pour out just add them back again if it's not ready. Perhaps the filter bags could be used to hold the ingredients and act as diffusers but if they sink to the bottom they could be difficult to remove as the tweezers aren't long enough.- Plastic stir stick is a very cheap flexible piece of plastic with a knob on the bottom. It's not long enough to reach into the bottle to be used for stirring so not really sure why it's included.- There is no recommended ratios to spirit/ingredients. Just basically a taste test.- The manual, while somewhat helpful is so poorly done and it's as if the editor was on vacation - words are continued to the next line with no hyphens used (in some cases a word is split between two lines and only 1 letter carries to the next line), words run together with no spaces or words have spaces in between letters (see photo). Imo, it somewhat tanks a good product and gives it an exceptionally cheap feel to it and, honestly, had I bought this as a gift for someone special I would probably have returned it because the manual is so poor. That, imo, took it from 4 stars to 3.5.
