This Japanese tea set is absolutely beautiful. Tea is a part of my daily routine, and I love using this set. It is a great conversation piece with my "girls." This set is reasonably priced and makes a great gift. It is just the right size and is very durable.

FIRST IMPRESSIONSEverything about this set is perfectly designed for a five out of five. The teapot in of itself is beautiful, had the widest, deepest inner cage I've seen and the bamboo handle add such a sensory touch to the moment. Likewise the individual cups carry the same gorgeous design as the teapot.A STUMBLING BLOCKYet it's the actual pour that fails. Instead of pouring out towards the cup, a percentage of the water tucks in and runs down the spout.I've tried pouring slowly, pouring quickly, but there's always excess spilling onto the table. I've not known this from a tea steeper, and I hope the manufacturer can revisit the designs and correct it for future iterations.It's so gorgeous, enough that I may well persist because I love everything else about it so, so much, but as it stands something is off somewhere to have so much excess spilling from the spout.AN UPDATEI figured it out. The lid is pretty loose, but if you press it down as you pour - very slowly - and pull the lid towards the handle, there's a smoother pour. I've been doing this with the lid 'spout' directly facing the handle.

At the time of reviewing this tea set it is priced at £43.99 and would make such a lovely gift.I gave this to my nanna as we drink alot of tea together when visiting and she loves it.The floral design is quite vintage looking and it is made of glazed porcelain.This is set is just quality!It will last for years to come, and I highly recommend.

Ja was denn nun, … Chinesisch oder Japanisch? (… davon einmal abgesehen, hat dieses Teeservice nur sehr wenig mit einer Teezubereitung im Gong-Fu-Stil zu tun).Das Teeservice wird „gut“ - und sicher - verpackt geliefert, eine Transport- Beschädigung ist „nahezu“ ausgeschlossen - anbei „auch“ eine mehrsprachige Produkt-Info (… auch auf Deutsch) sowie ein - großes - Teesieb (… als Teekanneneinsatz).Der Teekannen- Henkel muss „eigenhändig“ angebracht werden, wobei - auffällig - der Draht - wohl - unterschiedlich am Henkel befestigt wurde (… meine Befestigung ist „anders“ ausgerichtet als auf dem Foto der Produktbeschreibung zu sehen ist).Das Teeservice - insgesamt - ist - eine „solide“ Keramik (… jedoch - nach meinem Dafürhalten – kein „hochgebranntes Hartporzellan“), „einfach“, hübsch und alltagstauglich.Das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis halte ich für nicht ganz stimmig (… was vor allem am Anschaffungspreis von z.Zt. 57,-€ liegt). Unter Berücksichtigung und Betrachtung meiner Anmerkungen, kann ich für dieses Produkt, „guten Gewissens“ - leider - „nur“ vier Sterne vergeben.
