I did a lot of research and this one looked the best. I was right. It's perfect. Folds into a manageable size and has a nice handle. Not too heavy at all and yet's it's super sturdy and easy to unfold and set on the back bumper/platform. I have two elderly 85 pound golden retrievers and they took to it right away. I load them one at a time, but this ramp can easily support both of them. Really nice surface material to prevent the dogs from slipping if it gets wet. My 4Runner is hybrid, which add 4" to the height of the already high-off-the-ground cargo area. This ramp made it so easy to train my dogs to get in and out.

This is very well made. Stays in position on the vehicle. It’s long enough that the slope seems reasonable for most dogs. The surface is non-slip. It’s a bit heavy, but that’s to be expected from a ramp this long and sturdy. I wouldn’t hesitate to use it for a large/heavy dog. It does fold to a convenient size for storage. Only drawback was that my old dog was too scared to use it, but that’s not the manufacturer’s fault.

We have a long history of needing ramps to assist aging dogs. We have gone through several ramps in a lifetime of rescuing dogs before purchasing this one. This is, indeed, a very sturdy ramp and was easy for the 115 lb Great Pyrenees to learn to use it. The downside of this ramp, for us, is its weight. We have never had one this heavy before, and it is a process to get it up and to take it back down. We bring the dogs from the barn to the house in the mornings. We set the ramp up at the barn, load them, take the ramp down, and put it in the car. We drive the short distance to the house and reverse the process. It is heavy, cumbersome, and we have managed to pinch fingers while doing it. Had I understood how awkward this would be for us, I would not have purchased it. None of this is the manufacturer's fault. It is well-built and sturdy. Just hard for us to use.

Very sturdy when using the carabiner to stabilize. Heavy enough so there’s no bounce but, still light enough to set up & take down. Surface has good grip. Folds compact w a handle. Good design & a quality product. The extra length & width is definitely worth the expense. I would recommend.My dog went to agility training when he was a puppy. Maybe that helped him feel confident using the ramp. He’s 12 years old now. This ramp has been a lifesaver for us bc he can’t jump into the suv anymore.

This ramp is so great. One of our dogs has arthritis that has gotten pretty bad in the last few months. There are about 6 stairs going in/out of our house, and he was struggling with them. He kept falling, so we decided to try putting a ramp there for him. This is perfect. It is narrow enough we can leave it up along one side of the stairs and still easily come and go past it, but it's also light enough that we can easily move it out of the way if needed. The gray rubbery, cushion grip down the middle of the ramp is fantastic. It doesn't get slippery when it is wet, which is important since we are using it for coming in from walks and potty breaks and we get a lot of rain and snow. It also reduces the impact on his joints over a hard plastic one. We have a plastic one that we bought a couple of years ago for our vehicle, and this one is SO much better. Our other one has a sandpaper type of grip on it, which provides very little traction, but it is very easy to snag on clothes, scratch the vehicle, or tear open a knuckle when you bump into it. This one is also WAY lighter than our plastic one and easier to move around because it folds smaller. The rubber grips on the feet are nice too so it won't scratch up the bumper paint, and the bottom doesn't slide around on the ground as much. This thing is very sturdy, our super nervous doggo feels comfortable using it. Our only two suggestions for improvement would be making the security strap longer so that it could be adjusted to secure on something more than 2 inches away, and adding some kind of grip to the metal strips along the side (or making the grip panel wider so it goes closer to the edges.) When our dog's arthritis is really bad he kind of walks with his feet wider, and sometimes he will hit the metal strip and slip. We had some black rubber grip tape here already, so my husband cut it into strips and put it over the metal which worked great for us, but if it came like that already it would have been even better. Overall, highly recommend. We will likely purchase another one at some point to keep one in the car and one in the house and get rid of the huge clunky plastic one we have.

My dog is so sketched out by it, I think he would like it better if it was wider. He also hates new things and he is 13 year old lab mix. It took me 3 months to get him to use a doggie door and that was when he was 8, so we are currently training to use it right now. He keeps walking away like he has other plans than working on training on walking up the ramp (he is fine going down). He tries to army crawl up it and keeps falling off it and then I have to catch him, overall I think the product is fine but I would like it to be wider because my dog is a menace. It is sturdy and it seems like it’s not slippery.

Very well made and sturdy. Easy to open and close and doesn't flex at all when our 65# senior pup uses it. The handle makes it so easy to carry around, and it takes up very little space in our car/RV.

Works great for my 3 dogs. I have a senior lab, a three legged shepherd and a staffordshire mix with a bad elbow. They all navigate this ramp with ease into the trunk of my SUV. I specifically wanted the wider and longer ramp to reduce the angle. All went up the ramp with minimal coaxing and after some practice they feel secure enough to use it to go down. Being so study and having the grippy texture is very helpful in increasing their confidence. It folds fairly compact and has a handle.
