Bessey makes some really good clamps and these are no exception. I own some Irwin quick grip trigger clamps and recently bought some Kreg trigger clamps. I find myself reaching for these most often because the are easy to use and function well. They provide plenty of clamping strength for woodworking tasks and have a useful range of clamping size. I think these are a better value than what I see at HD for DeWalt and Irwin.

I've always purchased Dewalt 600 lb ratchet clamps at the Big Box Store. These Bessey 600 lb clamps feel just as substantial and perhaps more ergonomic, and they are about 1/3 cheaper here on Amazon than I was paying for Dewalt at the Big Box Store. The clamping pads are large, but slightly shorter than the Dewalts. The Bessey clamps were delivered next day, so no complaints there.My only gripe is Amazon or Bessey placed a large barcode red sticker on each clamp that shredded and left a mess when I tried to remove them. Now I've got gluey sticker bits stuck to my shiny new clamps.

Great clamp that holds well. It is good value for the money and easier to operate the release than all other clamps, which makes for quick and easy work. It has become my default 6" clamp for this reason.It is comparable to the Dewalt 6" 300 lb clamps, having the same throat depth. However, the pads are slightly smaller to fit in tighter spaces and has a slightly smaller footprint for storage in a toolbox. These 300 lb trigger clamps do hog space in stacking toolboxes.

I use these in my wood shop for general shop use and installation tasks. Good clamps are a huge help and like a third hand for installation work. C-Clamps can squeeze hard but take at least two hands to set and aren't easy to just tweak a bit. I own a bunch of clamps, I have some Irwin Quick Clamps that are nice but don't squeeze near as hard. I have some craftsman and harbor freight clampts that are not very good- they slip after on moderate pressure. These allow easy one hand operation, allow tweaking with easy release and squeeze like the devil. A hard squeeze is nice for installation work so items don't slip on you while you driving screws, etc. Good Stuff.

Clamp is strong and easy to operate. I ordered two. Amazon put one loose in an enormous rectangular box and shipped with USPS. When I went to the post office to retrieve, the bar end was sticking out of the box. The second clamp is listed as delayed with one comment saying “left at shipping facility.” I sure don’t blame USPS if they refuse to pick up the second. All Amazon had to do was wrap two clamps in a piece of cardboard and tape it. We will see if the second clamp ever arrives. Perhaps the most ridiculous packing job I have seen

These are the best one-handed clamps I've ever tried. They can apply more pressure with one hand than any other clamp other than a vise-grip pliers, and those don't work on wood or have the width of grip. The pressure pads are much less likely to slip than others I've used, but distribute the pressure well. Furthermore, they're easier to adjust with one hand than any other clamps I've tried. If you pull the trigger, and hold them up or down, the jaw will slide just with gravity. Many others won't. Also it is easy to reverse a jaw, and they act as excellent spreaders. You can also turn a jaw upside down and use it as a clamp. Just yesterday I solved a problem that way.

Lightwieght yet more than sturdy enough to get the job done. Use them on just about everything I make in my wood shop. Only downside is that I need a few more of them!

I purchased these excellent and received the set of two. When I ordered from the same listing a couple of days later, I only received one clamp. The listing is clearly for a set of two. Amazon suggests that you contact Bessey directly but the telephone number does not work and the link they provide to contact Bessey via web also does not work.
