This is a great cvt/torque converter. I have a predator 212 with a stage 3 and it performs great. Mine came partially preassembled which helped a lot. Just as a heads up, the plastic cover is very sturdy and well made but it by default does not have a cutout for the chain so you WILL need to cut your own hole, I recommend tin snips as that's what I used and it worked great, the plastic is not brittle so it wont shatter on you. The description says it does not support over 8hp engines but as long as you put it together correctly and have the belt aligned correctly, it will handle non-stock engines as mine does around 15hp at 7000rpm.Also, be aware that you might (most likely) need a riser plate in order for your torque converter to fit as I had to get one for mine.Here is a link of the riser plate I got for my predator 212: https://a.co/d/56vWhojThis riser plate is super easy to install and works great, its very sturdy.
bolted right on to my minibike and all i had to do i was remove the old clutch set up and shorten the chain. i haven't clocked it but i figure it does about 25 MPH now, which is more than fast enough for a bike without suspension.
been working great, put around 50-60 road miles on it. Instructions weren't very clear but honestly surprised with the quality of it. wouldn't recommend the idling bushing it rattles around a lot and makes quite the racket. better torque than the centrifugal clutch, faster, and engine rpm stays at a reasonable level. Fit it on a Hisun 196cc with a crank adapter pretty good.
As long as your recdive your entire order and alm items are in the box, these are good products. The brand name given doesn't matter when they're in the $50/$60 range because they're all 100% the same. And I've purchased probably 50 of these in my lifetime.
Update: The low end torque is much stronger than stock. I bucked myself off the bike today due to sitting too far back on the seat. 10 out 10, would install again!Requires a bit of modifying to get this to work. I used 1" square tube to lift the engine to make room. I had to order a 5/8" to 3/4" crankshaft adapter and cut it to fit. I had to cut down some of the ribs on the back plate so it would sit flush to the motor. I also needed a new bolt for the crankshaft pully because the old one is too short and the new one is for a 3/4" crankshaft (too fat).I did a lot of head scratching to get this to work, nothing seemed to quite fit, but I think I could knock this out in half the time now that I know what is needed to make this work.Overall, this thing turn my Coleman BT200X into a beast. Everything about it is better. Low end power is probably double and has no problem hauling my fat ass up my steep hill. The stock clutch burned out trying to do that lol. I don't have much flat here, but I expect the speed is 30-31mph. On a slight uphill slope my GPS tells me 28mph and on the way back down it is 33mph, so flat top speed should be about 30.5mph. Totally worth the price and effort.
I had this installed in less than 20 minutes. So much easier and cheaper than repairing the worn out Jackshaft on our YerfDog. I used a good straight edge to make sure the pulley’s were aligned and so far, after a few months of pretty regular use, we are still on the same belt, and everything works like new.Great product at a great price, I’ll probably order another just to keep on the shelf as a spare.
Had to return it. The flat side of the driver would not seat over the 1" shaft, with or without the key way. The outside of that collar would not fit over the shaft, as it had a smaller beveled edge. I was not willing to file or sand it back as I would have run the risk of improperly seating against the clutch, or causing damage to the shaft from fouling.Initially I was concerned when I opened the box and on top were instructions for a T-30 Torque Converter (not the T-40), and since I was in the middle of another project I stopped with looking at it beyond the instructions. This morning I dug deeper concerned that I had received a 3/4" TC. I can happily report that it is a 1" with super tight shaft clearances. So tight that the engine side driver wall will not fit over the shaft by hand, and will have to be dead-blown into place. The actual clutch slips on no problem. My bike has a jack-shaft assembly which is 3/4" so that too lines up with the driven. My issue has nothing to do with the TC, but rather the motor I'm putting on the bike and how it will line up. This presents an angular problem for the TC so I'll be able to talk about how the variable mounting holes line up later. I've never seen a 1" torque converter that will only handle 4-8 Hp, so I assume this is a misprint, both from looking at the TC, the mounts, the springs, etc. I'll be driving it with an 18 Hp engine, so I expect to have to increase the spring weight.My scenario and 2 bits, your experience will vary (wildly).
Works great, no issues. If you know how to install it youbwont have any problems. I installed it on my Baja 200 with a 196, 212 head and governor delete and it did 41mph, I'm sure I can hit 60 with a 212 and 40t sproket. The torque down low is great, it actually slips the tire in the dirt and does wheelies on asphalt now. I would definitely recommend for a trail bike or even a mild built street bike.

Works great it's made to put on back of a go-kart I put it on a homemade tractor under the hood so I had to do my own modification so I ripped the belt oh well my fault always very happy
