Will update as time goes, but as for now the litter box is the best for pine pellets. Compared to other boxes that have pill shaped holes this one has smaller holes that help with dropping dust but not dropping full pellets.It does need a lot of pellets to cover the surface but I get 120 lbs bulk pine pellets for like 20 dollars so its not much of an issue pellet cost wise.My main issue is with the tray on the bottom. I covered it with a thick liner and a pee pad to help absorb urine but it was not always catching it. I would pull out the tray and there would be lots of leaking urine on the edges of the liner. In my opinion, I think the I liner I have is too thick for such a thin tray, but the tray itself also does not cover the entire bottom of the litter box, so spillage would be an issue.What Im testing is to just not use the bottom tray. There are 3 layers, the sifting tray(holds litter), the actual box and the tray that inserts(to catch dust). I took the liners that I have and put it over the litter box like a garbage can so when litter is sifted everything will be in the bag.The space without the tray insert is pretty big so I shouldn't have to switch it out often.Overall the litter box is a great size for my 14lb cat, it sifts properly without losing too many pellets, its easy to setup and doesn't look bad either.*update*Its been about a month since I have this and its been working fine. Only deep clean it every 2-3 weeks which takes about 30 minutes. My cat for some reason pees on the edge of the opening of the box but only when I clean out a lot of the urinated litter in the bottom catch tray, so I do have to put a pee pad infront of it to catch it.Overall great litter box, easier to clean, definitely would recommend if you use pine pellets.

If I could get this more than five stars I would! In a lifetime of having cats and battling the litter fiasco, This has been the best. The feline Pine doesn’t stink, you actually can’t even tell I have a cat, no smell at all. The size is perfect for my larger cat. The two drawers make it so easy to clean, when they do their business, you just swirl it around and everything falls to the bottom, and I change it, Maybe once a week, the scoop that I came with is perfect for the solid waste. I would buy this over and over again. I have no complaints about this at all. In reading other peoples reviews all I’m gonna say is that you are never gonna have a litter box that wont track a little bit of litter. Sure there are a few pellets that escape here and there because my cat likes to kick it around, but by far this is the best littler box I have ever owned. Worth every penny!

This litterbox smels worse than anything we've ever used. If it wasn't too late Id return it. It doesnt work with the breeze pellets at all. The pee is just staying on top and rarely drips down to the pad. I couldn't hate a product more. I had high hopes for this being cleanabke era. Andit is absolutely the worst. The smell is atrocious no matter how clean we keep it, the scoop is nice, and height seems really to high for the first level and not high enough for the second.

I had a traditional stainless steel litter box before I bought this. This sifting litter box makes it so much easier on clean up. Before I was cleaning his tradition box once a week but now with this one I’ll only have to deep clean it once a month. I just add pine pellets to replace the ones that turn into sawdust. I don’t necessarily “sift” the box, it’s kind of heavy for that, I just use the scooper to “mix” the used pellets through the holes and I scoop his poop twice a day. And my kitty buries his poop so it doesn’t sit up top thankfully. The box is much bigger than I was hoping for because we have a small bathroom but I couldn’t find a sifting litter box in the size of a traditional box.

I like this but wish it was taller. My cat pees really high and I used a splash guard but it came out all behind it. Just needs to be taller or an attachment to make the back higher so pee dont leak out.

I was wary of so few + such negative reviews, but I was heartened by the reviewer that said if you use this as designed, with pellet litter, it works great. I was in the market to replace my plastic boxes, which were starting to permanently stink, are scratched up, and kind of shallow so occasionally a cat butt would overhang in an undesirable way. I liked the pull out drawer, because I don’t want to have to take it apart and set down the dirty top bin somewhere to scoop out the sawdust.These arrived today and I am very pleased! Right now there is NO smell near the boxes whereas my old ones had kind of a perma-stank, even when clean. They actually come with TWO pull out drawers, so you can put in a clean one while you hose off the other one. They’re a little lower, 6”, than other ones (8 or more) which is great for my senior cat to climb into, while still having the high sides to corral their butts where they belong. Overall so far I am very pleased, and I hope my review encourages others who are looking to use pine pellets.

Love this litterbox. I have been waiting for someone to come out with a sifting stainless steel box and was happy to find a few options. I chose this one for the deeper tray. It is working well, the scoop is great for lifting the sawdust from the tray as well as solids from the top part. I also like how the scoop hooks on the outside. Happy to discover I was thinking I would have to pull the tray all the way out and dump it but I was happy to discover I could pull it out about 90% and just use the scoop to empty. The only reason I am giving it only 4 stars is the loss to the height around the sides by creating the tray - I wish the sides were a couple of inches higher as my large cat doesn't always squat all the way. My previous stainless steel box had 12" high sides, this one is only 10". I expect to save money on pine pellets over time as so few wasted now.
