I admit I'm that obnoxious person who usually won't write Amazon reviews, but will always read them before making a purchase. But in the case of this Vibemo Beach Tent, I'm inspired to spread the word about how great this tent is!Most of the other reviews have covered the main positive features of this 10 x 10 tent that gives ample protection for at least six beachgoers, along with keeping your cooler out of direct sun. But here's my two cents. We just returned from a week in Anna Maria Island, FL and set up the tent at least five times. By the third time, we were set-up experts and got the tent in place in under four minutes. It's key to roll out the tent fully, fill the eight bags with sand, THEN position the poles under the tent. I'm no engineer, but even this 70-year-old woman who made a D in high school physics figured out how to adjust the angle of the poles to compensate for the direction and strength of the wind. The instructions suggested digging holes for each of the sandbags, but we found it just as effective to throw more sand on top of the bags after filling them rather than trying to dig holes for each of the eight bags. The eight-bag feature really adds to the stability of the tent and anchors it against the wind. A couple of other reviews stated the tent didn't withstand moderate wind speeds, but we didn't find that to be a problem for us.I support so many other reviewers in the praise of ample sun coverage of the tent, the compact and lightweight storage bag, along with easy set up and take down.By the end of the week, our tent still have the Gulf Coast, sugar-fine sand embedded in the fabric of the tent no matter how diligently we tried to shake that sand out before packing it away. I thought the instructions were a little vague on care/washing of the tent, but when I returned home, I took a chance and washed the tent in my washing machine on delicate with just a small amount mild laundry detergent. To dry, I spread the tent out in the grass in my back yard. This washing/drying procedure worked beautifully and I packed away a clean, sand-free tent.Obviously, I don't the lifespan of this tent long term, but I'm sure it will hold up for several years for our bi-annual trips to the beach. I was looking for a good, reliable, easy to use beach canopy priced around $100, and with this one currently on sale 50% off, I recommend you jump on this deal if you are in the market for a great beach tent!

This beach tent/canopy/sun shade completely transformed our most recent beach outing! From the moment we set it up, we knew we had made the right choice. Here are a few reasons why this product deserves a five-star rating:1. Easy Setup and Portability: This is incredibly easy to set up and take down – two people were able to do it in 5 minutes. It comes with clear instructions and all the necessary equipment. It folds down into a compact size and fits into a small bag making it super easy to carry around requiring minimal storage space.2. Sturdy and Durable: The fabric material is lightweight but durable. The poles were strong and substantial. It withstood wind very well. While I can’t speak to its longevity at the moment as we have only used it for 3 days, I predict we will get at least 2 or 3 more beach trips out of it.3. Excellent Protection: The canopy provides excellent shade which is a must for long days at the beach. We felt completely shielded from the harsh sun, and it kept the area underneath cool and comfortable. The product does claim UPF 50+ sun protection, however, we did receive some sun exposure through the fabric – my husband only sat under the canopy during our 3-days on the beach, and while he has a base tan and didn’t use sunscreen, he still got sun and a little red in areas where he did not have a base tan. We mostly felt well-protected and were able to spend hours sitting on the beach without fear of getting sunburned, but it does not completely block UV rays, and I would still recommend using SPF if you are fair-skinned or don’t have a base tan.4. Spacious and Comfortable: There was plenty of room under the canopy for 6 adults in low chairs, our beach bags and our cooler.5. Affordable: At $80, this was money well-spent – it provided a larger area of shade/protection than a standard beach umbrella and it was much more affordable than having to rent something each day.Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase, and I will use it for every beach trip in the future. Set up is fairly easy. The two sand bags per pole do come in handy. The main poles are kinda flimsy. It stand up to a high wind day. I would recommend this product

Have used the tent twice now. One day was very calm winds and one day was very strong winds. I am impressed by this tent. I can't speak to how durable it will be yet, but so far so good. WOULD LOVE TO REVIEW LARGER VERSION.Set up:Set up is very simple. There are many videos that show best practices, but here is the basics. Stretch it out on the beach. If it is windy, fill one corner full of sand and then the opposite corner, etc. Stretch them all out so there is decent tension. Once all the bags are filled, cover with sand. Then insert the poles under the tension of the cover. You want to try to face it into the wind, but even when the wind changed direction we didn't have any problems.Day 1 (little wind)Not much to talk about, provided nice shade. Easy setup and take down. Light. Was enough for 4 adults to sit under. You could fit more if squish or have small children. Very comfortable day.Day 2 (12-13 mph winds). I was at Light House Beach in Hatteras on May 27 (see video) so you can look up historical winds to see if I am BS'ing. It was very windy during set up, but I thought let's try it and see how it does. Was very pleased. During setup the whole thing flew up so we had to fill up one bag to anchor and then the other bags. The difference in setup from the non windy days was that we set the poles at an angle. You have to set a slight bigger opening into the wind and brace the poles into the wind / <---. The other side we set slightly lower. It took some adjusting to get the 'flappiness' down, but finally got it good enough. Was impressed as it got hit by gusts that it didn't budge. The bungees also did NOT pop off which was also nice. Made it comfortable for all of us. Finally had to leave because the wind picked up enough that sand was starting to pelt everyone.Final thoughts:I was impressed, would like to review something larger for groups of 6-8 to see how it does. Again, this is only two uses in, we'll see how durable it ends up being. That said, if you are buying for a few uses on a vacation, I would recommend. Will try to update at end of trip.

This product under two manufacturer names is defective. Only 1/2 if the canopy is UPF50+. My wife sat under one said and I sat under the other the fist time we put it up and she got burnt. When we tried to figure out why the next day as we were putting up the beach tent, the reason reveled itself. See the photos. The 1st day, we had the middle seam separating our chairs. Day two, we were reduced to having to sit on one side of the covering, reducing it's sun safe coverage down to 10x5.

Great product its actually very easy to set up even 1 person can do it . Also its light easy to carry with its own bag . Highly recommended . Everyone was asking me in the beach about this sunshade

After reviewing many tents, I chose this one for these reasons: 1. large area of shade for our large group, 2. lightweight to carry, 3. small to transport, 4. not dependent on wind to work, 5. price, 6. ease of assembly. It did not disappoint on #1, 2, 3, 4. It was not large enough for 19 people, but it provided an option large enough for those who wanted shade. I could have assembled it myself with one exception. The wind was powerful and I (age 70 and 5'1") was not strong enough to dig the poles securely enough into the sand to withstand the wind. My sons angled the poles against the wind and were able to dig them deep enough to be secure for several hours. After hours of strong wind, they had to be adjusted. The shovels were very helpful in filling the bags. When the tent was set up, the shovels were favorites for the kids building sand castles. The sand shook off the fabric easily when we packed it up to leave. When I got home, I threw the tent into the washer and dried it for 20 minutes then hung it up to finish drying. I don't know if the manufacturer recommends that, so check before doing so, but it worked for me. The legs of the tent knotted up badly in the washer and dryer, but I was able to separate them without too much difficulty. Now that it's clean, I'm not worried about it smelling after sitting in its bag until the next beach trip. If your criteria match mine, I recommend this tent.
