Love this machine. Makes a very fine cup of coffee ... It's a slower brew time than most but that's also why the coffee tastes so good. The different temp selections on the carafe plate warmer are really nice ... ...I've yet to taste a burnt cup. It's makes a LOT of coffee and the smaller brew options works great as well. You need to put in the amount of water for the size pot you're brewing ... The one to four cup button doesn't control the amount of water that gets brewed... It's not like some makers on the market where you can fill the reservoir and it'll stop itself at two cups.If you overfill it, there will be a waterfall out the back top ... Learned right away to check the reservoir before filling. Operator errorI got the white one and the ease of cleaning this unit is great. You can fit your hand inside the carafe to clean it unlike taller thinner carafes I've had. It's a simple body so clean up is a breeze. Really glad I went with the Cuisinart. I've always used the bold/rich settings on other machines but this one is as good as those on the regular setting... Rich is the default here, depending on your beans. The bold setting is great for afternoon sweet coffee with creamer when you still want rich coffee flavor.There's a mesh filter or you can use a paper filter. The tiny looking scoop IS a TABLESPOON although it doesn't look like it is at all.

One of the best and cheapest, good looking coffee makers out there. I have one at home and one at the office for years and it works everyday. The coffee is hot, it keeps it fairly hot not burned, easy to fill, easy to add coffee. I have bought many coffee makers and some are much much more expensive. But just for a good consistent pot of coffee once you get the correct measurements of coffee and water I think there is none better. It came with the gold filter which is good since I never use paper, it has a few brew temp and carafe temps and you can set the timer to brew automatically. It does not take up much space is fairly easy to keep clean. The water tank though does take a bit of work to get clean and keep clean though. Over time it gets pretty rank and I cleaned mine by spraying soap and Clorox in it and using a dishrag to clean it out. I then rinsed it out in the sink all the time being upside down so as this would not enter the brew track. Once cleaned and rinsed then filled with water and ran a couple of pots of water through it and its as good as new. Now unless your a professional, I don't recommend doing this LOL but it never stopped working and never stopped brewing a good cup of coffee. Looks and works as good as the day it was purchased. I did buy another one and had a funeral for the old one after many years. It still worked, so it was hard to part with but the wife said we had to get a new one. Sheesh, Why? O well you know how that goes.

Esta cafetera tiene muchos beneficios, su gran capacidad de 14 tazas es uno de ellos, su facilidad de uso, es programable, la temperatura se puede graduar desde baja, mediana y alta, el café se hace bastante rápido y cuenta con otras funciones como BOLD o REGULAR para que tu café salga más suave o fuerte y tiene otra opción de 1-4 cups que te realza el sabor en el caso que prepares hasta 4 tazas de café. La cafetera tiene buen diseño y se ve muy bien.Lo malo es el depósito de agua, que es algo pequeña la abertura para colocar el agua, se hace algo incómodo a la hora de vaciar el líquido vital.Otra cosa que no me gusto fue que, a pesar que la medida con la que viene la cafetera, que es una pequeña cuchara de plástico no es correcta para lo que es una taza de café, al hacer la primera prueba de colocar 4 tazas de agua y 4 tazas de café con la medida proporcionada, el café salió demasiado fuerte, después de eso, o le pongo más agua o debo colocar medidas más pequeñas de café y eso termina siendo una pérdida de tiempo, al final cuando preparo 4 tazas de café, pongo agua para 6 tazas y el café ya se puede tomar sin problemas.

This is a US coffee maker, fitted with a US electrical outlet plug. Unfortunately this makes it fairly useless to a UK customer like me. Even after securing a step-down converter it won't start brewing. Nothing in the original ad, including the small print and technical details, suggests this is not a UK coffee maker. Basically all told £150 wasted due to the seller and Amazon being clueless about where they are selling electrical items.
