Bought these for my kids to take to school the quality is good versatile and it was good for school good value for the money the container not stay close but the sharpener worked great

These pencil tubes with built-in sharpeners are pretty nice, but there is 1 big issue - the tops do not stay on. The sharpeners work well and the pencils get sharp, but the cases are not very durable. Because the tops fall off easily, these are not very good for placing in backpacks. The size is nice, but they're best left in a stand-up pencil container rather than in a drawer or bag. Moderately recommend.

So it looks like you get one pack of pencils for about $2.34. at 12 pencils per pack, that's about 20 cents a pencil, which is not too bad. They don't have erasers, so there are probably cheaper options out there for what you get.But I think the biggest thing to notice is that these are not colored pencils. Meaning that they do not write in different colors. The title and description do clearly state this, but I somehow missed it and I wanted to keep anyone else from making the same mistake. Again, totally my fault for not reading properly.These are standard number two HB pencils, that only right in the graphite color. And when the title says assorted colors, it means the outside painting on the pencil.It is a novelty presentation, especially if you were crafty and dressed it up in some kind of theme with ribbons or stickers or something like that.However, one thing that should be noted is that they come a little more dingy than the clean crisp pictures make them seem. I guess it's the manufacturing process or the fact that they travel in the tube, but the graphite dust just gets around. It's clearly noticeable where the plastic cap overlaps the wooden sleeve and it's also all over the underside of the pencil sharpener where the pencils no doubt rub up against it during shipping.In fact, it almost looks like mold. But the minute you think about it and realize that we're dealing with graphite pencils here, it all makes sense.Now about the pencil sharpeners, if that's important to you, then they're not going to be great. They will do the job, but the ones I tested were not aligned properly and so they kept taking flat gouges out of the side of the pencil. Not bad enough to wear the pencil lead keeps breaking off, though. But you just don't get that round shape that you're really looking for and that gives you a nicely shaped lead point. The shape I kept getting with multiple attempts was one that was flatter on a couple of sides and so you could see the pencil lead is very thin and pointy and then rotated around a quarter turn and then it thickens up. I've included a photo of the pencil tip in the hopes that the kind of flat side or faceting can be seen.I definitely know that searching for decent pencil sharpeners is a real pain in the rear because I used to do it when my kids were in school. It just seems so hard to find one that works well.The paper board tubes are a decent quality that should all arrive intact and looking right. You could even make a craft where the kids use markers to decorate their own tubular pencil boxes here.If you give these as a gift, it might be wise to also buy some erasers.

These are good pencils but they do not have erasers. I probably wouldn’t buy them again. They’re a good price though, for all the pencils you get.

You get 12 pencils in each tube with a pencil sharpener in the lid. The pencils are already sharpened so ready to use. The pencils write well but something to keep in mind is they don't have an eraser on them. I will probably buy some erasers to put on the end of a few in each tube. With 14 grandchildren, the older ones are going to get these in their Christmas stockings. I don't like to put just toys in their stockings so these are a great alternative.

Each of these tubes contains a lot of pencils, an cap fitted with an eraser, and the tube itself. This set has 6 packs, and all appear to be the same. I like how compact and held together search set is. One of my tubes has a lid that doesn't like to stay together - the tube may be small or the cap may be big. The sharpeners work well, but do not contain the shavings. While each oe cil shaft is a different color, these are all graphite/black writers. These are very easy to use, but so not include erasers. With so many pencils in each set, this is a good value for the money. Will make good sticking studfer gifts.

What this title should read is that is a #2 HB Hardness Standard Graphite Pencil available in a variety of exterior colors. Even the photos read that these would, could and should be considered as a colored pencil set with a sharpener. There is not eraser ends and they have a specific hardness. As someone who deals with a large variety of art supplies I own HB colored pencils in a variety of colors I use in both drafting, engineering, and technical drawings. The paper tubes were packaged together so they became either a cutting hazard or a falling hazard depending on you opened the box they were in. The tube they are in is like the photo which means there is nothing to catch the trash from sharpening the pencil nor to protect yourself from the blade then not in use.
