This is actually made very weak. The lazy Susie bottom spinner part is cool. Idk how that's going to work live showcasing stuff but we shall see. The light is bright!!!

This ended up on my home office desk because I wanted a light that could pull double duty as a desk lamp and also clean up how I look on video calls.I’ve been using it as my main desk light, and I’ll swing it into position for Zoom meetings when I know I’m going to be on screen. My first impression was that it feels like a practical setup, and I liked that it isn’t just a ring light, it has the extra storage built in.On calls, it made a bigger difference than I expected, because it stopped that harsh overhead lighting from making me look worn out and shadowy. As a regular desk lamp it’s been solid too, bright enough to work by without needing another light on.The rotating storage cup has also been surprisingly useful, because I toss loose change, my wallet, and little desk clutter in there so it doesn’t take over my workspace. If you want one desk light that also helps you look more put together on meetings, this has been a really handy upgrade.

• This is a much better desk light than the feeble ones I have had in the past. I am a DIYer and frequently perform detailed tasks where a lot of light is needed. This light provides that.• Using the light ring remote control in conjunction with the controls on the back of the ring is frustrating. Neither the User Manual nor the sellers' pictures have any instructions. I never was able to figure them out. It appears the two knobs on the ring control the color temperature while the remote mainly controls the brightness. Pressing some buttons on the remote sometimes has an effect, sometimes not. Sometimes, the only way to reverse remote changes is to use the knobs on the ring. I use the knobs to obtain the desired color temperature for normal desktop activity and use the remote to adjust the brightness.FEATURES:• The light ring is not 360 degrees adjustable. It swivels up and down but does not tilt left and right. For some of my picture taking and DIY activity, I want to do this.• The light is large and not just a ring. The illuminated area is 9 1/4” in diameter. It provides great diffuse light over a large area. The brightness and color temperature are both wide-ranging beyond what is needed.• The camera adjustment is 360 degrees adjustable.• The light ring angle adjustment is a ratcheting plastic mechanism that does not move smoothly.AC/DC ADAPTER:• The power cord does not plug into the base of the stand. It plugs into the back of the light ring which some might consider unsightly. The 3-foot cord that plugs into the ring is attached to a 4 ½” L x 2” W x 1 ¼” D AC/DC adapter which some might consider obtrusive. The cord from the adapter to the wall 110V electrical outlet is 6 ft. The entire length of the power cord and adapter is 9 ½ ft.• Even with the power off, the AC/DC adapter stays energized (as indicated by a blue light) as long as it is plugged into an outlet.LIGHT RING CONTROLS:• The power switch on the light ring needs to be in the On position before the remote control “ON” button will function.LIGHT RING REMOTE CONTROL:• I successfully tested using the remote at several distances and finally stopped testing at 50 ft.USER MANUAL (SEE PICTURE):• The specification listing is excellent.• No instructions are included regarding the light ring or remote control.WARRANTY:• 6 months.

This desk light is fantastic, and the controls on the back of the light are intuitive and give you a lot of control over both the brightness and the temperature. The remote control, however, is rather wonky and near impossible to get the lighting you want with it. I'll not be using the remote with this product. I took off a star for the wonky remote.There are two knobs on the back of the light. One is to turn on/off the warm temperature setting and to also adjust it's brightness. Both knobs are a "click on" then continue turning to adjust brightness level. The second knob controls the cool temperature lighting. The warm light is very warm, the cool light is very cool, and by mixing the two and varying the intensity of each, you can reach any temperature in between the two, which is really great. Both turned up all the way makes for too bright a light to just be a desk light, but works good as a ring light for a vlogger.This light is much brighter than other ring lights of its size that I have owned. This replaced a ring light that was attached to the side of the desk.The phone holder is great so that top down videos can be made when needed. The arm can be positioned and rotated so that the camera can do a top-down video, or it can do a video of you doing something. It can also be a good way to do video calls and have yourself properly lighted for them, and it will hold the phone for you during the call.The little turntable tray is very convenient. Since I'm going to have this on the desk, and I need other things on the desk as well, this makes it possible to have room for the light, since I can now place some of those things in the tray where the light is. It's almost like it doesn't take up space, because of the space it gives back.
