Great packaging, fast delivery and best features for that price. Good quality parts and sounds great.
The description does not describe this turn table. I feel I was defrauded as here is what the description says, "Victrola Stream Onyx - Wi-Fi Streaming 2-Speed Turntable with Bluetooth Output, Works with Sonos, UPnP Wi-Fi Streaming, Roon Ready Relay, Premium MM Cartridge and Aluminum Tonearm (Green)"The model number VPT-1500 is buried deep in the information. And you would only know it does not WIFI stream if you look that model up on the Victrola website. Now when I ask for a refund, I do not get a full refund. This is pure fraud. I want a turn table that streams to WiFi and this is not what I wanted. I need all my money back.
Does NOT connect to Sonos system as described and described by reviews, which was the reason I purchased it. Turntable cover is strange and cumbersome to remove and replace each time you use it. The quality of the product is satisfactory and when connected to a standard BT speaker sounds acceptable. Not worth the price in my opinion and I feel misled. Also, when they showed the reduced price from $399 to $250 when searching through my mobile app, I thought this was a great savings, then when I searched for the same system not through my Amazon account it showed regular price of $250! This is a deceptive sales tactic! Get it together Amazon!
It works as stated. Great looking and is easy to use.
This turntable fails in so many ways, I could write a book. Don't be fooled by their use of an old name brand from America. Like most of the cheap turntables, nothing works the way it should. The sound quality of this thing is bad. The controls don't always work as expected. Don't waste your money.
Love it quality and sound are good
I got the non-Sonos, $300 version of this turntable. It connects via RCA or bluetooth pairing, wireless is easy to set up and I like playing records to my headphones. I would do RCA still though because it has the grounding wires in the included cables, and I’ve used that to also output it to my surround sound system. It has a manual tonearm that can also automatically spin the record as you pull it close to the edge, and auto stops spinning at the center. Most settings are switched on the back. It does not automatically raise and lower the tonearm, there is a cue to lower it slowly, more on that towards the end. It is a carbon fiber arm. The turntable is easy to set up, will be a bit finicky until you get it balanced correctly and anti-skate applied (I do about 1/2 of the way).It comes with Ortofon Red stylus (needle), a very good and reliable budget-oriented option. The needle cartridge is typically the most expensive single part, and directly correlates to the sound quality. A good future upgrade would be Ortofon Blue Stylus cartridge (solid diamond stylus, $150-200). I will do so once this has built some sentimental value for me.The buttons and switches are solid, the body and turntable is made mostly of metal, almost no plastic on the outside that you touch. The feel and sleek look is really nice goes with almost any setup modern. It is decently heavy for its size. The table spins well for 33s & 45s and can take some resistance (cleaning records while they spin), but I would not beat up the motor. The tonearm is light and forgiving, sensitive to light touch but also a bit flexible and strong, carbon fiber. Very well balanced if you put the counterweight just a tad over the outermost marker, for mine at least, no major fiddling necessary. The main issue I did notice after I received it, the tonearm’s guard (cue) that you can use to lower the stylus more carefully—The guard itself was sticky, after releasing the lever as normal (cue lever), the guard remained up, keeping the arm hovering too high above the record. I suspect during shipping, the frigid winter temps thickened up whatever lube is in there. After it warmed up for a few days in my house, and I manually pushed it down and up a few times, now it lowers without much fuss. I don’t usually use the cue though unless it’s a brand new vinyl, so not a big deal imo. But most beginners will want to start by using the cue to lower the arm until you get a feel for it.I’ll consider returning if it continues to have an issue there or gets worse. Will follow up on the review if any future reliability issues occur. Otherwise I love it.
It’s a good turntable for someone who wants a toy to play a couple records at home.
Dat de Victrola Onyx zoals aangegeven op hun site niet met sonos is te koppelen
This is NOT SONOS stream upnp model!
