I bought the oversized king comforter. This product came out of its vacuum sealed bag with a very bad smell as some others have stated. It’s a hard smell to describe (like chemical mixed with burnt bread? And a little bit of mold thrown in?) but I couldn’t imagine trying to snuggle up with it.I’m not sure if it’s the bamboo as I did buy bamboo sheets from another company with a similar smell but it was much, much fainter. Maybe due to the fact it wasn’t vacuum sealed?I did have to wash it THREE times with Kaboom additive, pre-soaked it for one round, and dried it each time with a drier sheet. I was terrified I’d do all this work to then have to try to figure out how to send this huge comforter back! It did take multiple dry cycles due to its size and needing to be dried on a low heat setting.BUT if you can get through ALL of that, it is absolute heaven once the smell is finally gone! It is oversized so my husband and I are not fighting over blankets anymore! Please note, it doesn’t “drape” over the sides of my king bed like I had imagined it from its description. But it is SO soft and fluffier than most comforters I have bought.We live in Florida so I was worried about some of the reviews saying it was too hot. We slept all night with our two clingy cats AND an additional bamboo blanket and we were SO comfortable. It isn’t the middle of summer so this may change, but I thought it was the perfect temperature! My husband even remarked it was hard for him to leave the bed, the comforter is just that nice!Hopefully it doesn’t cling to pet hair the way other blankets do- this is the biggest reason we went with this product due to having two cuddly cats at night! Will update once more time has passed!
