Very difficult to figure out.

2nd one, don’t buy, screen flickers, no good

I used this arcade console and thought the size was reasonable for carrying between my desk and living room; although sometimes felt like the metal box was a bit bulky. The controls were decent but not smooth in feel; buttons rattled under touch, and the stick felt loose after long periods of use. I found the use of the menu system to not be very user-friendly.There is an enormous number of titles to scroll through; tons of games to play. For what it offers, the overall build and interface seemed a step below what the price would suggest. However, as long as the game was able to load, it brought back some nostalgia and it worked fine once the game was up and running.

This thing is really cool. The screen is one of the brightest, most vivid vibrant screens I have ever seen. Some of the loading screens and just as you’re moving through the menu is almost breathtaking.I do not like that the joystick have to be unscrewed in order to close it… Not because I think that’s a bad idea but because all I need is my nephew to walk by or something to decide to be helpful and close the top and watch it smash that screen on my joysticksThere’s definitely a few funky things with this. Sometimes it’ll randomly start flashing as if it’s losing connection with the screen or something or stuttering. I can’t really describe it, but it does something funky.I also have moments where the joysticks are not responsive. For instance, in a street fighting game my controls made difficult to jump and move forward at the same time. It would just keep jumping straight up, but it wouldn’t move forward. Something about the diagonal position of the joystick was not registering. I don’t know if it’s because sometimes when you screw the joystick back in it kind of just spins it seems like maybe it could be coming undone from inside. I can’t really describe it, but it definitely was obnoxious and frustrating.Another kind of a first world complaint is the fact that it has so many games… Don’t get me wrong. It’s wonderful to have so many games but there are so many redundant games.… I’m talking like 35 of one particular game and 40 of another, it’s just almost ridiculousI know I can go through and edit them if I wanted, but if that was something I was interested in doing I probably just would’ve built my ownBut I’m not taking a star away for too many games that would be ridiculous too. I’m just saying be warned. You’re gonna scroll through many pages of the same game.It has a little volume dial on the back and it also has a option in the settings to adjust audio levels and it’s default to 70%.Well, you should know that whatever you said it to is what it will be at when you turn it on so even if you turn it down from the dial when you turn it back on, it’ll be right back to 70%. The only reason this is important is because I was unaware of the dial in the back and I set it to 90% because I didn’t think it was loud enough. Restarting the system, scared the crap out of me and my kid. So I turned it down on the dial after I found it not realizing that it was gonna do the same thing over and over and over again until I figured it out. It was very frustrating and almost traumatizing lolBut that’s just a minor grip and just something I wanted to give you a heads up about in case you have the same issueThis is a really cool system and it’s nice having the joysticks and it’s nice being portable even though you do still have to plug it in by the way… It is really cool. It is quite heavy as it’s a metal briefcase and it’s definitely not portable enough to be something you play at the park or play on the bus or something, but you can take it to a friend house and I suppose that’s the desired outcome.If you’ve ever played with a system like this, then I imagine you already know if you want one or not so if you do want one, then this is definitely one you should considerThe portability of it solves a few problems, but it also introduces a few flaws and therefore I’m not too keen on giving it five stars. There’s just some design flaws that unfortunately have to be noted, but I feel totally comfortable. Recommending it if it’s the type of system that you think you want. If that’s the case, give it a shot this is a really good one.
