Living in a northern state on top of a small mountain, I genuinely love a cold, snowy winter — but my house pipes definitely do not. When temperatures dip to near zero for days or even weeks, frozen pipes become a real concern, so we like to keep an arsenal of cold-weather solutions on hand. This set has provided several useful tools, all of which we’ve put to work during a recent extreme cold snap.What I especially appreciate is that it was easy to install and the electric heating units put out just enough heat to do their job without feeling like a fire hazard. They’ve been perfect for protecting our kitchen sink pipes, which are on a north-facing wall and have about 12 inches exposed to the outside under our deck before re-entering the house. This setup has kept everything functioning properly and, importantly, allowed us to avoid using a dangerous space heater under the sink — which alone makes this set a win.On top of that, the outdoor faucet cover and insulation wrap are great additions and round out the set nicely. Everything works together to provide solid freeze protection where it’s most needed.Very pleased with this set and how it’s performed so far.Highly recommend for anyone dealing with prolonged cold temperatures.

I had an oddly shaped water inlet but I was able to wrap it with the insulated heated blanket. I put the blanket on a timer so it wasn't on all the time. I had it turn on at night and shut off in the morning. The Velcro held all winter and kept the pipes warm ever with the odd shape. I wrapped the second section of the pipe with the insulated tape. This was just to help keep the metal pipe in the basement a little warmer from the heated blanket before it. I did not use the exterior faucet bag but it was larger than i expected. All in all, installation was easy and a durable product.The one suggestion I would make is, if you are using the insulating tape and you need to wrap over itself at the end, I would use a piece of duct tape just to help seal it.

This product arrived just in time for extremely cold arctic blast. Homes in my area are not built for this cold weather that we have been having and a burst pipe is a homeowner's worst nightmare. This has a thermostat so it will only turn on when needed. Well worth the money.

Here it is winter and we needed a cold weather solution for our well house. The well house has multiple water lines that are exposed to frigid temperatures during the winter. We have used a milk house heater in years past. This year we are going to use water pipe heater tape on the main line out of the well. We will use the milk house heater as a backup system for severe weather. The water pipe heater tape will use less electricity and we can keep it plugged in without a huge power draw.So far it has been adequate, but as we head through winter,I will update this review.

The heating mat is well made and long enough to cover my outdoor water heater cold water pipe. You just wrap it around a pipe and plug it to a power extension cord.The cover bag is quite large so it’s easy to cover a sprinkler water back flow preventer.In the package there is additional roll of insulation tape, which you can buy separately from other sellers.Overall it’s good package to winterize your outdoor pipes.

This water pipe heat set is amazing. It comes with an aluminum foil heat blanket with a waterproof flannel and heating wire, don’t overheat, the faucet cover is an insulating cotton. Very easy to install, very durable, fits perfectly, functions as it should and will keep popped from freezing. Very good value and very good item.

We are in GA so winter temperatures fluctuate. We were below the 30s and picked this for protection, but installed it now that its in the 70s LOL. We have an outdoor faucet with piping in the crawl space which was super annoying to access, but we are hoping this will prevent replacing the spicket again as cold weather creeps back!
