JUNK. You have to babysit this thing constantly. Filter sock will get sucked down the tube. Floaty thing in the middle will stick every 5 minutes for no reason and when that happens the pump will suck it dry in 3 seconds and the thing floats up and tips over letting your pump suck air. Comes with a 3 inch threaded plastic attachment to hook to your pool. That doesn't fit blue orange or white 40 pvc pipe. Had to replace that with a reducer and hose clamps. After fighting with it one day threw it in the trash.

I recently started using these skimmer socks, and they have been an effective, low cost upgrade for my pool maintenance routine. The material is a strong stretchy nylon that acts as a fine mesh prefilter before the debris reaches the actual pool filter. It’s been catching everything from fine dirt and dead algae to those tiny gnats and pollen that usually slip right through the basket and clog up my main filter necessitating cleanings more often than I'd like.The installation is straightforward to just stretch it over the rim of the basket. I did have to pop the handle out to get it seated perfectly, but the fabric is durable enough that it didn't tear during the process. I’ve been able to rinse and reuse a sock several times before needing to toss it, though I’ve noticed they eventually develop small holes near the handle attachments after a few weeks of use.One thing to keep in mind is that they are so effective at trapping debris that you have to check them frequently. If they get too clogged, it can restrict water flow to your pump and will shorten the lifespan of the pump. Also, if you use chlorine tabs in your skimmer, I’d recommend placing them under the sock so they don't sit on the fabric too long.For a 10 pack, the value is excellent. They’ve noticeably extended the time between my deep filter cleanings.

Its not worth it, barely works only runs for like an 1 or so before it just flips over (strong winds and moving waves and cause it to flip as well) causing water to be sucked out potentially damaging your filter. Do not use, it does not work unless you tie it down ain't nobody got time for that.

These are not intended to be cleaned or re-used, but they are durable enough to provide functionality up to 30 days of continuous use.I am a homeowner DIY. I've been maintaining my pool since it was built in 2018 and the pool builder just disappeared, providing no information, documentation or support on the various installed components (don't get me started).

This item would capsize randomly and without warning causing air to get into the system and make the pump cavitate.It would gather debris well, while it was upright. Installation was very easy. I just dont think the floatation was well thought out.

At first I thought these were too small to fit my baskets but with a bit of effort I was able to get them ot stretch over the outside. They have a finer filtration than the plastic basket does so they prevent some of the smaller pieces from traveling to your sand filter, allowing you to save on the frequency of your back flushing. They are a snug fit so it takes a bit of effort to get them to cover the outside of the basket, but once in place they do their job. They can be left in place and rinsed out when you empty the basket of leaves etc or simply take them off and toss them. There are 10 in a pack and they work out to about a quarter a piece. a package should cover you for a season most likely.

This item was a complete disappointment. It would not stay upright, but kept tipping over allowing air to fill the filter intake line. The manufacturer recommends a destructive "fix" which I performed, and it did not correct the problem. I returned the item for a refund...no, I certainly did not want a replacement. I do not recommend this, or any product, where you are advised to tear something up in order to "fix" it.

These catch small alge so well keeps pool clean and clear I love using them.
