This gum works way better than I imagined it would. The first step you need to work on is being in the state of mind that you are actually interested in quitting smoking/vaping. If you go from smoking and just chew some of this gum without being in that mindset, it probably won't do anything for you.The gum for me instantly gets rid of my urge for a cigarette without even thinking about it. I try and pace myself on how often I chew the gum as well because when I first started chewing it I was probably chewing too many pieces in a time frame than recommended. I was slightly nauseas at first but I slowly weened myself on how much gum I chewed a day after my body began to adjust to no cigarettes/less nicotine. (I still vape and plan to quit it next)The way the gum works is pretty simple. Chew it for a bit, it starts to taste peppery and gross, to use your tongue to push the gum between your teeth and cheek/gums. When the peppery taste dissipates, begin chewing again. Repeat until you want to stop or the peppery taste is completely gone from the gum. Then at that point the gum is basically fully used up and it's just a plain piece of gum.The gum gives you a small amount of nicotine to make your brain and body not have that urge to smoke to get "your fix" while at the same time make you a bit disgusted at the bad flavor of the gum to make you not want to chew it anymore than you have to. By being in the mindset to quit cigarettes though, you focus on the gum and stay set on not smoking. Eventually you'll chew less gum per day and less frequently. Next thing you know, you're at 2 weeks and counting without smoking a cigarette and chew less gum.

The right way to chew would help combat this effect, Do not chew the gum all at once, Start chewing slowly and once you start feeling the peppery taste in your mouth STOP and park the gum between your cheek & gum and leave it there and once the effects starts wearing off, start chewing slowly and park the gum between your check & gum on the other side. The thing you need to know about this gum before buying it is it will cause nausea if you chew too much.That being said, it isn't supposed to be candy. It's a tool for quitting.I find it quite nasty, actually. It turns my tongue yellow, builds up yellow mucus in my throat, and tastes very blandly sweet yet peppery.Hear me out though: this is a tool for quitting. It will get you through that intense craving if you use it at the same time as the patch. The patch will let you go all day. Then if you still want a smoke, chew this instead, IN MODERATION.If it tasted like candy you'd just get addicted to this instead of cigarettes.So I think it does its job well despite being nasty. Cigarettes are 500% more nasty so what are you complaining about.

ZERO QUALITY CONTROL> Did experiment and dissolved gum in solvent then dilluted slurry to 1 gallon . One entire Gallon of water dyed DEEP YELLOW FROM ONE PIECE OF GUM..... This is a problem... How much too much of other ingredients are miscalculated in mixture? I'm never paying for yellow mouth again. Tastes bad, texture bad. Stains horrible. nassssty! And Amazon won't fix this even after thousands of over dye complaints...

As effective as expensive brands names, but I've now used both (Amazon's brand) uncoated & coated gum, & the coated has so much more flavor. Won't buy this (uncoated) again, even tho it was cheaper. Not sure it's as effective as the coated, either.
