I've had the Hue system for a few years in one room, but I realized I didn't have enough lights in the room, so I got a few cheap floor lamps and 3 more colored smart bulbs and what a difference it made! I now get the perfect brightness !I normally just have them on the bright white setting, but it's nice to go into the Hue app and try the different preset themselves. I have it controlled by the Hue remote which is magnetic so I keep it snapped to one of the floor lamps within reach for handy access. I also set up Google home so I can turn them all on and off and dim them by voice control. I only recently played around with using the Google Assistant changing the colors, like "Hey Google, set the lights to red". The colors are so vibrant!! Green, blue, red, and purple are amazing! I also love how fast they respond to commands so connectivity is great and the app tells me when the remote needs a new battery which is very infrequent. It's a really high quality system and I love it! It's not inexpensive, but I think it's a good value for the money

I’ve had my Philips Hue bulbs running consistently from 2017 all the way into 2025, going strong without needing replacement. That kind of longevity alone makes them worth the investment. The reliability has been incredible, no flickering, no random disconnects, and the brightness/color quality still look excellent years later.One of my favorite things about them is the color customization. I constantly use deep crimson reds and rich blue tones, and the Hue bulbs reproduce those colors beautifully without looking washed out or cheap. The lighting completely changes the atmosphere of the room and gives it a premium cinematic feel, especially at night.They’ve been one of the few smart home products I’ve bought that actually lived up to the hype long-term. Even after years of daily use, they still feel premium and dependable. Expensive upfront, yes but the durability, performance, and overall experience absolutely justified the cost for me.

LOVE these Hue bulbs! Firstly they are incredibly easy to get setup in the app, it took me maybe 5 minutes at most to get these going. The app is super nice and fast to use, and the premade color scenes ready for your bulbs are super nice and vibrant which makes the whole room feel like such a vibe. The build quality of the light bulbs is amazing too, they are incredibly bright and display colors vividly. I love how it links with Alexa so I can control them just using my voice instead of going on the app. And if you add more lights to your setup, it only gets better from there, the Hue ecosystem is so amazing!! Definitely recommend these :)

Even given the price point for these smart color bulbs, I have continued to purchase them because of their ease of use to change the mood in the particular room you use them in, the fact that they will likely be the last light bulb you will ever purchase, and they are transferable if you decide to move from your current home or apartment. They fit into your standard light socket and are built for quality and durability. If the fact that they only draw 7.2 watt doesn't attract you, get them for the fun they create during the holidays.

Got these on sale and Philips Hue lights are one of the best as far as color and quality. Difficult to control by APP, though. Can't figure out why that is, they should be as easy to program as any other smart light bulb.

These are pretty cool and work well, but in my opinion the Hue App is not the most intuitive. But I got used to it with a few days of usage.For ten bulbs max or less you use Bluetooth to set up and control these lights. If you plan on using more than 10 bulbs or devices now or in the future, then I highly recommend getting and installing the Hue Bridge (WiFi), BEFORE setting up these lights. It is required for more than 10, and it can be cumbersome to transfer from Bluetooth access to the bridge (WiFi) especially if you added more than 10 via Bluetooth (the App won’t stop you).

I love these bulbs! There are so many colors that you can choose from to make a room feel just right.I like to read so I choose to brighter whites. My husband likes things darker so he goes for the more sunset colors.I don’t think you can put a price on bulbs that are so versatile.There is also the choice to dim to varying levels.

Amazon send what looks like a used returned kit with one of the three bulbs not working at all.It does not even lights up
