I bought this rack to organize all my pilates, yoga and physiotherapy equipment. It is a good design for smaller weights, balls, bands, etc. I think some heavier weights are fine as well, I just put those near the bottom to keep the rack from being too top heavy. The feature that I especially liked about this rack was the hooks at the end for storing my bands. I had been hanging them on various pieces of equipment to get them out of the way before. This rack cleared up and organized a lot items for me. I hung my resistance bands and pilates ring. I put my kettle ball at the bottom and yoga blocks and pilates ball up higher. My smaller weights I put up top. The setup feels sturdy and stable to me.
Bigger dumbells only allow 2 sets. Its functional and works. A little narrow but, eh, i guess it works.
I'd like to give this a 3.5 star rating. It has some overall flaws, but it does generally work.I have 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 20, and 25lb free weights. The 3-5lb weights are too small and don't fit properly on this rack. They're not secure or laying flat on the rack. The 8lb and up fit fine, but the 20lb+ will fit no more than 4 barbells total on each rack level. When you get that weight and up, it's also hard to not hit your hand on the rack with removing the weights because the shelves are flat and not at any incline angle. It's not terrible for me because I have smaller hands, but it still happens. I imagine men or people with larger hands may hit theirs more.As far as the weight limit saying up to 600lbs, I'm not sure about that. That seems way too much for this rack to hold safely, but maybe I'm wrong. It's a nice way to organize weights and resistance bands and whatnot, if you don't have the smaller ones. The instructions were relatively easy to follow, but it took quite a bit of muscle to put it together.Overall, I wanted to really love this weight rack and it's ok, but it's not universal and I do wish at least the bottom shelf of this rack was angled to make it easier to remove heaver weights without hitting your hands on the next shelf up.
I’m really happy with this dumbbell rack. perfect for our home gym. fits nicely in a corner without taking up too much room. The rack is sturdy enough for the weights but still small enough that it doesn’t clutter up the room.
It's basic and sturdy and meets my needs. It's taller than it looks in the pictures, but it's an appropriate height for a home gym. The spacing on the bars seems fine, but it's a little awkward for my smaller, padded dumbbells, the construction itself - the materials seem sturdy. But there's no real cross brace anywhere on it. And because it's basic hex bolts, there's only so much sturdiness you're going to get out of it. For at home needs, it seems appropriate, hasn't failed or felt unsteady, I definitely recommend not stacking heavier weights on the upper shelves, just because of the spread and the weight of it does not feel stable enough for things that are top heavy, so just place your heavier weights on the bottom shelf.I tried to get a picture that shows that my smaller purple rubber-coated dumbbells don't really fit. You can't turn them sideways either because they would fall right through, so just keep that in mind if you tend to use padded dumbbells. Or shorter length dumbbells.
I really wanted to like this, as it has some good features, but it's hard to fully recommend. The good: Opening the box, I was concerned about the strength, but after putting it together, I was pleasantly surprised about how strong and rigid it felt. The claimed 600lbs capacity is probably too high, but it's not bending with 64lbs on the top level. It's at least strong enough to hold a useful amount of weight, not just a few 2-5lbs dumbbells. The hooks on one end are also useful for holding things like straps and cable cuffs. Assembly took about half an hour, although that was with a real wrench and power drill, not the included tools. It came with extra hardware, which is definitely preferable to too little. The bad: It should probably be wider at the base for better stability and I would definitely recommend putting some heavier weights on the bottom shelf. The ugly: The crossmembers of the shelves are too closely spaced to easily grip a dumbbell while unracking and reracking the weights. At only 3" apart, I can't fit my full hand between them to grab a weight and you could easily catch a finger in there when reracking. A smaller woman might be able to use it, but anyone with average to large hands is going to struggle. From an engineering/design perspective, I understand why it was designed that way (to allow the bolts to easily attach the shelves to the uprights), but it clearly wasn't designed by someone familiar with lifting.I haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep it or not. If I do, I'll make some modifications by replacing or widening the top shelf and probably adding some feet to increase the stability.
Perfect for home yoga storage! It keeps my yoga mats, blocks, and straps organized neatly without taking up much space. Highly recommended for anyone looking to tidy up their home workout area!
This rack is cheap. One part wasn't manufactured properly. The tools that came with it didn't fit well from the start and didn't get the job done. I had to use my own tools to finish it. There aren't any supports to keep it from tilting or twisting. It's not stable. I tried to tighten it for better stability, but I ended up just warping it. It came with extra unnecessary hardware. I would not recommend this product.
