It's not as sturdy as I'd hope, but I don't need it to be perfect. I just found it a bit wobbly, but I have it resting on top of my cube shelves to hold my tv and it looks great. It's a perfect size for my 40" tv. It was very easy to assemble and because of the extra storage on the bottom, I think it's a great value.

I just finished the assembly on this item, and it was much easier than it looked like it would be. Everything necessary for assembly was included, even the screwdriver; and extra screws were added, too. That's always appreciated.The pieces themselves are strong and heavy, well padded and well packed so they came out of the box in pristine condition. I'm far from being an expert, but these wood panels look and feel like genuine wood, not pressboard; and the result is a substantial piece of furniture that should last a long time. The center back of the shelves have a little rounded out part for cords and cables.I haven't yet connected it to the wall - this is so heavy I want to be sure I've located the studs first, but it comes with big heavy screws and anchors to hold it in place. I'm quite happy with the finished product, and there's plenty of room on the shelves for everything I need to put there, and more.

They provide extra screws in case you lose one, which is always nice and all the required hardware and tools. I installed this in my bedroom to provide extra storage space and currently have some of my nicer shoes in the shelf openings. It provides plenty of extra space and looks great in my room.
