Thank you Nutro! After almost a month of random digestive issues from epic diarrhea to spitting up food nightly, we made the change to this food and all acid, ear itching, and poopy issues were normal within days. Two vet visits and some meds worked temporarily, but alas, an allergy to what seems to be chicken, was the key. Our mini Aussie loves the taste, it seems to process in her body just fine, and no more cleaning up piles of wet, undigested food. For a non-prescription, easy to acquire food- this is the best for pups with allergies to lets call it "regular" dog food.

I use this as filler, dogs really like it, doesn't smell, may help aid digestion.

We had our dogs on Nutro’s regular lamb & rice and our one adopted pit mix had skin so dry that a single scratch sent dandruff flying like a blizzard. Within a few weeks of transitioning them over to this food, his skin is clear and his coat is softer and shinier. (I figure this is due to his natural oils having a chance to properly distribute through his fur now that the skin is healthier.)It also seem like he has less gastrointestinal upset, less frequent farts (which were NOXIOUS), he hasn’t thrown up recently (a fairly frequent occurrence) and isn’t eating as much grass/plants in the yard. Both dogs have firmer poop as well; the aforementioned dog frequently had “soft serve” consistency. 😬Nutro’s regular Lamb and Brown Rice has “chicken meal” as the second ingredient. I think this is the allergy my dog has, rather than anything grain-related..I really wish Nutro’s non-chicken foods were TRULY chicken-free since this seemingly is a common allergy for dogs and honestly it kinda stinks to pay the high cost for “grain-free” when it’s not the issue.Regardless, I’m really glad that he’s both looking & feeling better! We’ll be continuing with this food (EDIT: happy to say we can now get this from Amazon at the normal price, regularly! Which is great, since Chewy has sent us the wrong food several times.)

Really helped my dog just wish you could get more for the price

If you have a dog that has limited diet restrictions (no poultry no grains) this is a good alternative.Your milage may vary since every dog is different and some may like the salmon and some might not. You can also use it as a topper if you need to for your other food if they are getting picky. But the quality of the food items is pretty good . Good clean ingredients.

I switched my Bull Terrier to this food after about year of trial and error of different foods. Based upon her allergy tests she is allergic to basically everything in most dog foods. Over the course of a year, I watched her turn into patient zero I was frustrated and and felt like I was failing my dog. Her skin was so dry it was hard, white, and crusty. Patches of hair falling out. Red paws from itching and a very inflamed booty. The pics I added are from today, not perfect but a huge improvement in 3 short weeks.Prescription diets made it worse. Allergies pills were a joke, sprays and topical meds... I knew it was her diet I just had to find the right one for her.I switched her to this food about 3 weeks ago and she is now growing hair on her ears and paws again. I was so happy I cried!! She is no longer scratching a licking constantly.I combine this food with salmon oil by Grizzly and Skin and Coat additive by Missing link. The combo of the 3 has supercharged her body. She smells a whole heck of a lot better and looks like the fabulous dog she was meant to be!

My dog usually eats anything, but that doesn’t mean it’s good for her. I didn’t realize she was sensitive until I gradually limited the proteins she eats. I really like this one, and so does my dog! I also love that it smells natural and real.

Love that product doesn’t have a lot of additives, or dyes. My dog, an elderly Shih Tzu, has a lot of allergies that causes skin pigmentation darkening around her stomach and bloating. This food has stopped her from overeating also, which she would do from a past history of cheap processed foods. We have tried other brands, that were promoted as good and nutritious for your dog, only to find it irritated her allergies. I just wish it came in 11lb bag, 4 doesn’t last a whole month and afraid 22lb bag would go stale before finished.
