This lock works really well with my zwave.The pros: the motor is only moving the small lock toggle instead of a deadbolt. I think the batteries will go much further than YRD210. I have not had any issues with remote programming and lock responses. It is also zwave+, which is nice.The cons: the zwave is an older security class of S0. You may also have to take out the batteries and remove / reinsert the zwave during configuration. I had errors but they all seemed resolved after. This lock also only comes with 1 key.I highly advise against buying this lock used. I attempted 3... All were broken.

After first purchasing a used lock- don’t recommend doing that ever again - I went back a purchased a brand new one.It’s Easy to install. It’s looks and works great. Plus the dog walkers who are also using it, really like to too. I can add several custom codes. Haven’t added/tried the app function. Like that there’s an actual key if I need to use that too.I used their customer service a lot with the used lock- and was impressed at how nice and helpful they were each time-until I gave up cause the lock was not in the condition as posted.

The lock installs with a hinge like closure. Terrible. Needs two people to install while managing the control wire. When finally installed it did not work. The trouble shooting instructions were “ go back to step 3 and reinstall”.Gave up on a name brand. Returned it. Got a Chinese for half the price and it installed easily and works well.

Installation was pretty straightforward. My only complaint is that I had some trouble with one of the door handle levers not sliding into the post (metal pins you depress to fit on the lever were jammed).. but after tapping it with increasing voracity, I got it. Other than that, it was pretty easy to hook up to my Hubitat Elevation with ZWAVE. Just had to go into the YALE menu on the keypad to enable the device to join the network and then goto Hubitat's portal and search for it. I'm now able to use IFTTT to lock / unlock my garage with google voice assistant.

This lock is 10 year old technology and does not support the latest features from the Assure lock line. I am disappointed in this lock because:(1) The "Yale" button is stuck in/does not press.(2) It does not support the Yale app or bluetooth, so you can only change codes/advanced features manually on the lock keypad. Alternately you can buy an advanced Smarthings driver from an external vendor, but that costs extra money.(2) It does not support Z-Wave S2 like my other Yale assure lock. It is able to be opened remotely by hackers. This fact was misrepresented to me by Amazon's AI assistant, since I specifically asked this question and it said yes, in fact it does support S2, which it does not.(4) The only Z-Wave support is through a separate driver on a Smartthings (or other smart home) hub.(5) The thumb turn on the inside lever is in a non-standard vertical position when locked - it does not even match my other Yale door knobs - so this is the only door in my house that is locked in the vertical position.(6) I prefer door knobs over levers. I have not been able to find a door knob for this lock.Sure, you can use the Smartthings Yale partner driver to open/close the lock remotely, but again, you can't change user codes or anything more advanced like you can on the Yale app (which does not work with this lock). Smart home operation for this lock is piecemeal.Considering the old technology, they should be selling this at half the current price of $229.00. I could have lived with all of the other shortcomings, but the stuck "Yale" key, and the lack of S2 support has me thinking I am going to return this lock.

The installation instructions say that you can purchase a replacement "drive-in" latch if your door doesn't have the mortise. But when I tried, they immediately canceled the order. After a week of back-and-forth with Yale support, they finally "approved" me to buy a drive-in latch. By then I had given up and chiseled a mortise. I'm not great with a chisel, so it didn't turn out particularly beautiful.Once you do get it installed, the z-wave functionality is a bit flaky. I ended up making an automation to send a "ping" whenever it stops responding to lock/unlock commands. This seems to wake it up and get it working again.

Works with Ring and was easy to connect to the Ring base station. It can also be locked and unlocked with Alexa.
