Love this enclosure for an appropriately sized terrestrial/semi-arboreal reptile. Not just for tortoises, I'm using this for my juvenile bearded dragon and it's great. The PVC bottom holds a decent amount of substrate, and the hide/removable bathing and feeding area is useful for the most popular reptiles. Throw a few decorations in there to match your creature's natural environment and you've got them truly decked out.The size is similar to a 40 gallon tank if I'm not mistaken, if not a bit deeper and less wide. Not 100%. It also has a simple latch lock, which has kept my two curious (albeit mildly tempered) cats from breaking into it.I opted to mount my lighting to the grate (wide spaced wires btw, so UVB isn't obstructed!) rather than hang it off the pole that you can attach to the enclosure. The grate seems sturdy enough, I wouldn't reckon it's sturdy enough to hold a person's weight, but it's held up three light fixtures and a mealworm dish perfectly fine, even when opened and closed over the course of months. I also removed the ramp because my little guy can climb easily, especially with the decorations I used.My biggest personal downside with this enclosure would be that the bottom slides out, leaving gaps between the walls and floor. This means you can't use loose crickets or other feeders, as they'll just scurry to the edges, find their way through a crack, and drop the the floor of the room...which, come to think of it, also means you couldn't house any smaller snakes in it either. If any...certainly not a cornsnake. Anyways, I've managed to find a system that works for my beardie and me, but it would ultimately be better if it was just sealed around the edges. It's easy enough to clean without taking the bottom out...it's not like you have to hose it down outside. I suppose you could seal it on your own with some kind of pet-friendly sealant, which I might end up looking into.The only other downside I can think of is that the clear walls are made of plastic, which scratches and mars very easily. But it's a value enclosure, let's be honest. I got this for a juvenile beardie who will eventually outgrow it, it was never meant to be permanent.If you're looking for something cute, ultimately temporary, and unique, this is a fantastic choice that doesn't sacrifice your options in setup. But for something permanent and more standard, I recommend going for a bioactive setup in a front-opening glass terrarium. They're daunting to set up, but they're easy to maintain in the long run and they can look natural and beautiful if you get creative.Either way, have fun, and do your research!

Urtle loves the bathing pool on the second story! 🐢❤️It was easy to assemble (instruction booklet was included) and is not made of pine. That's great!Urtle took a tumble off the ladder and the second story... so, we modifed it with a bit of wood and large rock barrier on the second story, and lifted the ladder at the bottom with a flat rock. This works!I wish the hardware was a little better quality, but I cannot complain since the price point was so good.Overall... recommended with alteration for rambunctious boys like Urtle. 😁🐢

This tank is exactly what I was looking for! Its hard to find a tortoise tank that offered a second level and ramp combination. This tank is huge, and gives our tortoise (Ethel) so much room to roam around. She loves to go up and down the ramp and the second level really maximizes the space of the tank without taking up more floor space. We ended up not using the cage cover/lids since we were not worried about an escaping pet, but it was nice to have the option in the future if the tank was used for another type of pet. This allows us to reach right in and be more hands on with feeding/cleaning/petting. Also love the water pool at the top, we used it to make a deep cave for the tortoise to hide out in. The plexiglass windows are great because you can look right in and makes the tank look really expensive too. I also like the gray color of the wood and the adjustable light. The tank was easy to put together and was a fun project to do on a snowy day! We had a little trouble with a couple of pieces and I contacted customer service. They immediately emailed me back and was beyond helpful and kind. Couldn't ask for a nicer person to talk too and it was a pleasure working with them. Our tortoise is all ready for the holidays with some fun Valentine's decorations and we are so happy she has a beautiful home to live in thanks to this tank!

This item has scratches on the glass. It takes time to put it together and time to receive a replacement. I do not recommend buying this crap. I wish I could rate it with out any stars. I want my money back but this is too time consuming to disassemble and repack to return.

Super simple assembly, it took hardly anytime. It came in wonderful condition so I don't know why others are complaining. The size is actually larger than I expected. The quality is way more than I had expected reading other reviews, it's pretty darn sturdy It's a breeze to clean and my tortie loves her ladder to her own little soaker pool. I absolutely recommend this enclosure especially with the price tag. Definitely a good bang for your buck.

This is my first tortoise table, and it seems to be just okay. I like the layout, the fact that the paint is non-toxic and water-based, and will even say it smells kind of nice, like a sauna. Assembly was kind of a pain, however, without pre-drilled holes. The material and construction was also pretty low quality, with lots of wood splintering. The bar for the lamp also did not reach the top and bottom of the panel it was supposed to be fixed to.
