I noticed others who purchased these had issues upon receiving their foam pads so hopefully this helps those who may be interested with any questions.I waited a couple days after sticking mine up to write this incase I had any issues myself but I’ve had none at all. Upon arrival they did have a noticeable odor to them an some were flat even after time of them having been opened and separated but all of that was easy to fix by soaking them in water, pressing them down a few times to soak up the water, then wringing the water out and putting them in the dryer 5-8 pads at a time for about 45-50 minutes on medium to high heat. After that the odor was gone and every single pad was fluffed to perfection.I wasn’t expecting it to completely sound proof my room because these types of panels are more so used for higher frequencies and are meant to be placed higher up in the room they’re used but it did dampen the echo greatly.If you want to soundproof a room that also requires other foam pads such as bass traps and possibly some acoustic panels depending on the size of the room. These are to dampen echoes.The soaking, wringing, and drying was a bit of work but considering how much it meant to me to get this done I didn’t mind the bit doing the work at all. Overall they have been easy to put up, especially with the adhesive dots recommended for them. They’ve been up for a couple days and none have fallen as well as look great up on the wall. Especially after soaking, wringing, and drying them. I bought the pack of 96 and every pad that I received has been worth it for the price.Check out the pictures for references.

With a new home, I inherited a wiring closet for my network gear. I stuck the laser & inkjet printers and a noisy commercial network switch inside. With a louvered door, it was LOUD in the hallway and the adjacent bedroom.ENTER these panels -As a test, I pinned about 25 to the surrounding walls and slanted celling and was AMAZED at the improvement in noise control.These are easy to deploy - they uncompressed in less than 5 minutes with no extra help from moisture or a dryer. They have NO smell, so were ready to go by the time I opened them all up and started pinning them up.I will replace the straight pins with spray adhesive or double-sided tape after the Holidays.Good deal & Wife approved -I RECOMMEND!

Just came in and they sized themselves up pretty fast and nicely, the instructions says warm water and hair dryer, but I just opened my windows to get rid of the smell which was very little to none.There hasn't been an issue yet but the reason it is 4 stars is because there wasn't an option for adhesives with 96 panels, which was what I ordered. It was my fault for not looking at other orders from the start so make sure you look at all of your options before buying the product.I will try to update once I put them all up and test it myself.

Worked amazing i put them all up on the wall and it really helps not be able to hear it in the other room i was very shocked

Simple low cost sound absorption.I put it on cardboard and then in a window to block road noise.I can say it helped with more than 75% of noises

These come vacuum-sealed and will be very flat at first. They will expand to full size; 1 in thick (though a few were a little short), but because they come vacuum sealed as thin as possible, they need time to get air into them and expand. The panels come with instructions to soak them in warm water and then use a blowdryer to make them expand. Recommended time is 1-2 days! There is absolutely no need to do this. Just pull them apart so air can flow between and stack them on their sides somewhere. I've ordered other foam panels from multiple other companies and NEVER had this problem. The other panels expand right away as soon as you tear the vacuum seal. Attaching photos of my original (black) panels from another order, compared to these garbage new panels (white). You can see that the new panels are barely the thickness of the old panel's base. This is what they look like before expanding. I found that if you open the sealed packs very fast, and split them into piles, they expand much faster. If you separate them, by the next day, the panels will expand to full size. I did not need to soak them in any water. The instructions also mention a possible bad smell. The only smell I noticed was a light ethanol odor, but it was not troubling and dissipated quickly.

For the price and how thin they are, the purchase was worth it. I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised with how well they worked. Helped lower the sound in the room and the backing was decently sticky.

A little thinner than I expected, but overall worked out as I had hoped! I purchased some sticky “dots” to put them up, and have had some issues with some falling down, but that’s more of the adhesives fault I guess. I purchased 96 of these and I feel like it was a good value for sure

These somehow works, i wouldn't say they are useless, but they don't have adhesive. I had to use my own.

Not recemented is room that allow smoking.
