The assembly was insanely easy. No tools required. Just a little space to lay out the 5 main components and screw them together using the knobs that came packaged. Now this was bought for home use , and I never had another two tier keyboard stand before to compare durability, so not telling how it would handle gigging or really pounding on it.Mine currently holds a Alesis 61 key controller on the bottom and a mini Cobalt 5 and smaller string module on top with zero issues. Looks sharp as hell and if I decide to set it up to play in standing position, its will be as easy as loosening knobs and pushing a few locking buttons back in the holes.I was fortunate that the box it arrived in was in good condition and no parts were missing or smashed.I recommend this to someone needing space and a solid keyboard stand
I purchased the single tier version 3 years ago, and has been doing an excellent job of holding up keyboards and with a plank desktop synths and drum machines.I ordered the two-tier version and received it today. I was pleased to discover that the top tier bars are square, unlike the round bars pictured. The rotating joint is metal with serious teeth, so I'll be confident putting nice things like a Perkons or Syntrx on the top tier.Pyle's customer service is good - my single-tier stand arrived missing a part and Pyle quickly shipped out a replacement after I contacted them.Don't buy X-stands, Z-stands are far more stable and pleasant to work with.
Pro: Great solid stand without the 2nd tier. Easy to assemble. Great Price.Cons: Adding the 2nd tier, I get a wobble, I'm kinda scared so I'm might take one 88 key and put on my a single tier. Wish it had a universal stable bar to go across the second tier. amazon do sell a universal 2nd tier that will fit the stand and it has the crossbar attach but it is another 50 dollars.I have a fantom x8 and Korg Triton extreme 88 Together weight 125lbs. It wobbles when playing the 2nd tier. A lot of reviews talk about the wields. I examined them, the wields should of been around the entire square.Final Thoughts: It will cost me 400 dollars for KM Spider Pro. That is too much money. I might try the universal 2 tier because its has a stable bar. The stand is great for 2 dual 61 key or single 88 key. I will update this review when I purchase the universal 2 tier if it is stable I will be a happy camper.
Sturdy stand, efficient packaging, solid build quality and easy assembly.
I’m a professional musician and needed to replace my old Z stand. This one is lighter and easier to transport. It supports all of my keyboards. I just used it for a one month theater production, where I used the top tier to support my script and Mac.
Don't wast your money. It is indeed a PYLE of garbage. Mine was sent to me broken so I returned it. The second one I received was rusted when I opened the packaging. It seemed okay when I put it together but when I was getting ready to assemble it for a gig, it broke on me. Nothing better than having technical issues right before a gig. Thanks PYLE.
The double keyboard stand is an absolute game-changer for any serious musician looking to expand their setup without sacrificing stability or stage presence. The Z-style stand with a second tier, has proven to be an exceptional investment, transforming my studio setup and live performance capabilities. The main stand offers multiple height positions, The second tier is a highlight, with independent height, depth, and angle adjustments.
This unit replaces an old Z-stand that wasn't working out. Both my 61-key controllers fit PERFECTLY, I can play both at once without strain. Damn thing is very adjustable, hooooooray for that! Feels very slightly shaky if I bash the keys hard but I rarely do that and nothing has fallen off or shaken loose during performing or recording. Not the cheapest out there but so far with all the stands I've tried cheap means crap, you get what you pay for, I could beat a gang to death with this and gig with it that night (once I washed the bone and brains off). VERY happy!
Been experimenting with different tiered keyboard stands. 3 criterion.1. Can accommodate an 88 note, weighted keyboard on the bottom (in my case either a Kurzweil PC3x or PC4)2. Has adjustable height - especially for the 88 note keyboard. Ideal piano keyboard height is 29.5 " from the ground. This gets that done and makes it very comfortable to sit and play without any sort of strain on the arms.3. Has an upper, adjustable tier. This does. Especially like the ability to tilt the upper tier to the desired angle and lock in.I've spent a ridiculous amount of $ over the past 6 months on different keyboard stands for my home studio and most were more expense than this one and didn't get the job done. This one does. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to any keyboard player looking for a good 2 tiered solution. It's very sturdy, very easy to assemble and breaks down very quickly if you need to bring it to a gig. Out of all the 2 tiered keyboard stands I've tried (Quick Locks, Ultimate Supports, you name it, this was the best solution. Only wish I'd discovered it first.
