I bought these insulated boots after freezing my toes off (almost literally) in my uninsulated Muck boots in my deer blind with two pairs of wool socks on last week. Temps were single digits up to teens and twenties the last two hunting sits. The camo on these Tidewe boots looks great. I don’t believe camo is necessary in most hunting scenarios but I like it anyway. My feet are size 9, wide. I usually buy sneakers that are 9.5 to allow for socks, and need arch support. I can do without the arch support on a hunting day though. I was conflicted on whether to order size 9 or 10 in these boots, even after measuring my foot length and comparing to the sizing chart insole length. My bigger foot measured 10-5/8 inches long, or 10.625 inches. Size 9 boots say 10.6” and size 10 say 10.9”. I ordered size 9 and they fit great with a single pair of thick wool socks on. Two pairs is doable but very snug and not ideal. There is plenty of room in the toe box with my wide feet. These fit / are shaped differently than muck boots. These hug the top of my feet right in the bend of the boot leg into the foot area. That said, it’s something I noticed at first because it’s different from my Muck boots. But it’s not uncomfortable so I’m keeping them. The thoughtful design is appreciated where the boots transition from rubber (?) to neoprene (?), making them much more comfortable to walk in. The buckles and straps to adjust the closure of the boot top is nice as well, to keep cold and snow outside. The lugs on the back of the boot heel to assist with removal are a nice touch, but are kinda slippery and that’s while the boots are inside and dry. They will be more slippery when muddy or wet.Wearing these inside for the past 45 minutes with one pair of wool socks, and my house thermostat set at 64, my feet are toasty!I can’t wait to take these out to the field and experience greater comfort while hunting for freezer meat. The boots do have a tire store rubber smell out of the box but I expect this is normal for the materials used and will dissipate over time. In my area, I don’t anticipate it affecting a hunt until the odor is gone.I do have overrun glue on one boot but I’ll trim it off.
Arrived quickly. They appear to be made to last, very sturdy. I use on the farm, and hunting. They fit perfectly, and are not heavy, and bulky. They are easy on, and off, with no tight ankle fit. It’s a decent price for what you get. They seem better than much higher priced boots. They are completely water proof, and no funky smell. It feels soft, and comfortable on your feet. I recommend these boots.
I had to use them a few times before I felt like I could leave an honest review. So first of the fit, you want to get whatever your normal boot size is, they are true to fit, feel a bit big if you just wear a single layer and socks. But by the time you put on your winter hunting layers, they are perfect. They keep your feet dry and WARM. I have hunted multiple times for multiple hours in single digit temps without the first hint of being cold. I would 1000% buy these again without a thought.
Great boots. Very warm and comfortable for all day wear. I’m on my feet all day and these boots are perfect. Easy to clean.
They fit well and are warm and they are kinda cheap so they are great
Great comfortable and very warm place
The fit of these boots is spot on as far as ordering a size up for wide feet. I normally wear 10- 10.5 wide , so I ordered an 11 and with heavy weight socks they fit perfectly. All rubber boots are meant to be worn with medium to heavy weight socks. Craftsmanship appears to be quite good time will tell . There's a fairly strong rubber smell which I'm sure will disapate with time like my other brand did? I bought the 800gr insulated and wore them to walk the dog in feels like mid teens weather and my feet were very warm. I'll have to wait and see how they do this hunting season while sitting on stand .?
I talked my husband into try these after his Sitka boot bit the dust. He is used to spending several hundred dollars on his boots with little hesitation but I insisted he try. He has been very happy and said he's a believer! True to size, waterproof, warm, comfortable.
Great boot for cold weather hunting. Warm and dry. Very well made. They are true to size and comfortable.
I've had these for over a month now. I had them out rabbit hunting and just walking the dog in -8 to -20 degrees Celsius multiple times and my feet stayed warm and comfortable! Highly recommend these no difference in quality from big box store brands.
Good boots, much warmer than I expected.
Great fit warm in winter great sole tough boot
They’re fantastic, true to size, a perfect fit. Would definitely recommend them.
