Great paper shredder. Work well and shreds multiple sheets of paper at a time. After a short time I had to disassemble the unit and resolder a cold solder joint. Has worked fine ever since.

Update: 5/6/22 - Seller saw my review, reached out to me, after a few days I have a replacement unit. I'm bumping the stars to 5 to reflect sellers commitment to fixing issue. I'm hoping this replacement will last longer than 5 months. If it does break again, I'm hoping that I won't have any issues working with seller once more. Thanks Amy for the follow-up...*******I bought in November and used lightly. I should have known when that something more tragic would happen since back in December, it had already started acting up. It would not engaged when trying to shred anything but after disconnecting the power for at least an hour, it worked once again. This time around nothing! The green indicator light is on and it doesn't matter what I insert into the feeder and see the small lever engaging, the motor would not run. I contacted the vendor via Amazon but have not received any communication - VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! I had a more than a decade old EPS-6IIX and that still works! Save your money and buy something else, unless the maker of this product stands behind their warranty.

Amazon has had to intervene here with the manufacturer. I'm waiting for a reply within 72 hours.I have had this shredder for just over a year (purchased on 5/25/24). My previous shredder lasted for over 10 years and it was a cheaper one, so I obviously know how to use a paper shredder correctly, empty it at the appropriate time, not let it overfill, not put too many pages or the wrong items in it, etc. Today, I merely emptied it, tried to activate it from the "off" switch and it's completely dead. I tried other working electrical outlets and still nothing. Then I tried phoning the company (VidaTeco) for support, using the product support phone number listed, and got a "this is no longer a working number." The link to their webpage is also dead.I don't expect ANY shredder to die in slightly over a year. I spent $80.05 on this with tax. Absolutely unacceptable quality. My suspicion is that the motor just died. The fact that you can't even reach the manufacturer is equally troubling.

I was not happy with how the first of this model held up so I reviewed it at 2 stars. I was impressed by the fact that they reached out to replace it and as of right now it seems to be working well. I will change this to a 5 star if it continues to work well or I will drop it back down if it does not. I expect new things to work well the question for me is does it hold up over the long haul.old review---our last one worked for well over 2 years and was cheap. we bought this one wanting something made better and we have had problems with it off and on. We thought it was how we were using it somehow so that is why 9 months after buying it I'm writing this, not because it has worked well but because I have finally determined it's just not been a good product. I'm 87 and had no problem getting it set up and successfully shredding papers I no longer need from previous years taxes. I"m doing this in my small apartment, very pleased with how quiet it is and the speed in which I was able to accomplish my task.
