I absolutely love this ice maker, because it makes the perfect "slushy" type of ice. My fridge makes square cubes of ice that are big and hard to eat. This little ice maker makes pellet type of ice that is perfect for drinks and makes them into a slushy type of drink. I love to eat ice so this thing is perfect for me.Make sure you read the instructions, but you will want to make sure before using the machine that it stood upright for at least two hours. This allows the liquid for the motor to settle at the bottom of the machine where it needs to be.I did run the machine first before using any of the ice as it helps to make sure all the internal parts are clean. Once that cycled completed, I wiped everything down on the inside and filled with bottled water. The machine only took about 10 minutes, and it was producing ice. Usually, I just let the machine run until it's out of water and then bag up (included) the ice to put in my freeze to use for later.The ice maker does make some noise when running but it is not intrusive or bothersome. The machine does get warm and does need to push hot air out of the sides. So make sure you provide it with adequate air flow to not overheat the ice maker.Cleaning is a breeze, fill with some water and white vinegar and hold the start button for 15 seconds. This starts the self-cleaning cycle and will run for about 15 minutes. Once completed hold the unit over a sink and pull the rubber plug on the bottom to drain the water. I usually will wipe it down to help dry the machine and leave it sitting out and open over night to fully dry. You can also pop the lid off to clean the water channels as well.The ice maker is not light but can easily be carried around by the included handle. The machine seems to be very well built and should be pretty durable. My plan is to use this at home for drinks but also take it with us on our RV to be able to produce an abundance of ice compared to using the water trays you put in the freezer.I really wish I would have purchased one of these sooner at it really is a game changer for my drinks. I practically use this every day for iced coffee, water, or cocktails. If you like to eat ice or have slushy type drinks, you will love the ease and simplicity of this ice maker.

ice maker worked great for 2 months then the lights on refill and full sometimes work or not, also the motor would give a high pitch noise. The last day to return was july 3, purchase May 31. NOTE the machine started acting up mid July. I feel I should have at least 90 days return not 30 days. I had to wait a week from purchase to receive it.

Bought this for times when company arrives. Always seemed to run out of ice. It met our needs over the holidays. Easy keeper. Very nice ice maker

Love this machine! I use it every single day! Company loves the crushed ice too. Even purchased one for my MOH who steals some every time she comes over!It's simple to keep clean and the handle makes it easy to move.ONLY complaint is the noise. It can be a lil noisy and my boyfriend gets annoyed haha

I’ve only had this ice maker for a week or so but I am really impressed. It forms ice I can chew and it keeps up with my need (I am constantly eating ice with a little cranapple juice in it). I’m currently recovering from a bout of sepsis and will also be getting iron infusions for treatment (I read somewhere that people with low iron crave ice). What ever and what all drives me to chew ice I don’t know for sure but this dandy ice maker has been great, supplying all the chewable ice I could ask for. I believe it is helping me stay hydrated, which has long been an issue for me (never drink enough water). I’m using this machine all hours of day and night and love having the perfect ice on hand. It’s very easy to set up and use.

It does make ice as described but it is very loud. We have a kitchen, dining, and great room that’s all open and we had to move it out of the area to a pantry down the hall. If I had know it was this loud I would have looked for a different one. The last one we had by Frigidaire was much quieter but alas it only lasted 3 years.
