Top lid was broken

This is a great, sturdy file box. I was able to stack two of them in the small space I have. They're easy to use, and they'll help me get organized. If you're looking to try it out, just go ahead and buy a set to save money...you'll keep them.

I’ve ordered these several times because I love having my files, keepsakes, and my kids’ old schoolwork filed neatly and out of sight. I have the black ones, and they look great — minimalist and tidy, hiding the visual clutter you get with clear bins. I’ve been using them for a couple of years with no major issues so far, but we’ll see how they hold up once they’ve been through a few moves. Highlights... - Great for organizing papers, artwork, and keepsakes - Clean and uniform - stack nicely to keep everything looking tidy - Secure-fitting lids stay firmly in place - Built-in file lip on all four sides fits standard files perfectly (haven’t tried legal, but they likely fit too) Minor Drawbacks... - A bit on the expensive side for how lightweight they are - Thinner plastic than I’d prefer, although they’ve held up pretty well (*so far) - More than once when I ordered the 4-pack, a few of the lids arrived cracked even though the shipping box was fine (returns were easy, but better packaging might help prevent this) Final Verdict... I really do like these bins and continue to buy more because they look so clean and organized. I just wish the plastic was a bit more substantial, especially at this price point.

Great quality. Perfect for creating memory boxes for my kids with important certificates/ awards from each year of school. Very functional, latches work well!

I have purchased several batches of these for a purpose other than file storage. If all you need them for is to keep your tax return info, that you only access once in a blue moon, they should be fine for that. If not read on. My use case is to transport 14" laptops to classrooms. They are a perfect size for that because I haul the laptops around in neoprene sleeves for protection, and they just fit in the boxes. I pack them into a vehicle, stack them in a cart, haul them into class, return them to the vehicle, then repeat about 3 times a week. I'm not too rough with them, but they last about 12 months before I they need to be replaced. Usually, the lids crack, or the box base cracks. It seems like, as time has gone on, IRIS has made them thinner and reduced the quality of the plastic from which they are molded. Generally, I accept that because they are water resistant, minimize wasted space, stack well, and I try to buy them on sale when less than $6 each. Although I continue to buy them, I only rate them as a 3 star: quality could be a lot better. Be aware that in the case of "sold and shipped by Amazon", Amazon does a poor job of packaging for shipment. As you can see from the photos, one of my 2 most recent shipments arrived broken, even though the box was not significantly damaged. One problem is that these things shatter easily with a slight impact. The major contributing factor, though, is Amazon ships them out without any additional packing, just in the boxes provided by IRIS. Check out my photo of the box - the cardboard is very thin, and not really suitable as a sole shipping container. There is a high likelihood that your order may be received damaged.

This file holder is very spacious and holds a lot of hanging files. It’s pretty sturdy, easy to use and i like the price. Overall I highly recommend this

I use these to create keepsake boxes for my grands. They hold all the hanging files for school (one per grade) and yearbooks! A great place for final year grade cards, flyers from dance/music/sporting events. As well as team pictures etc. They are sturdy, the lid locks well to protect the contents and is just the right size to handle easily.

The totes are nice quality and will work nicely for storing my kids school projects. Deducted a star as one corner was cracked on a tote upon delivery.

Perfect! :) I've been looking for something reasonably-priced that protects well and doesn't cost a fortune and THIS IS IT! Sturdy, well-made and fitted to work perfectly for both legal- and letter-size hanging file folders. The four-pack makes it a really fair deal! I'm thrilled with this purchase!

I just sent a return, but changed mind, because too difficult for me to get it returned, BUT, I will tell you about the product I received - two of the boxes had pieces broken off. these boxes are NOT HEAVY DUTY, lids don't fit secure as stated. So disappointed. I will use two of the boxes for files, and the other two, I will use for things that are not as heavy.
