I have a lot od Makita tools and this fits my battery eco-system. The electric snow shovel is a beast. Throws whatever it picks up 20 foot away. Had a ice storm here in Harrisburg just recently I treated for, It pick and broke through the ice with ease. Just amazing and at 0430 in the morning the small light on the front really helped. I have a huge driveway and with just 2 5 amp hour batteries it did it with ease. The forward handle can be put anywhere comfortable for your ergonomics. Nice and light weight as well. For a 64 year old man that is a blessing. Just installed new pavers and wanted something that would not scratch them as well. Found it. Buy with 100% confidence.

OK so a Makita battery and 12 inches wide. I was not expecting much. this little thing cleared my 16 x 24 deck in under 5 minutes. 4 to 6 inches of snow. I was very impressed. This mighty mini shoots the snow about 20 feet. I even tried it on 4in heavy wet snow which it moved but not nearly as fast. I bought this so the wife could do the tight spots while I run the big snow blower. I felt that at 68 she should lighten up on the shoveling. We are both happy with this tool. The battery life is way longer than I expected using a 5amp battery pack.

This cordless snow shovel is one of the best buys of my life. At the age of seventy-five I can easily use this cordless snow shovel to clear snow from my porch and walkways with enough energy in my arms and legs when I'm done to help out next door.

I love this cordless snow shovel. The only problem for me is I have a hard time removing the battery. Only because I have inflammation in my hands. Other than that it’s great clearing my patio.

This is great for a light-duty snow broom. I've only used it once for about 2" of powdery snow, but it worked well. I have a corded blower, but about 200 feet of public sidewalk to clear with no convenient outlet to plug in the blower. I have a pile of Makita battery tools (multiple chargers, several batteries). I've been looking for a compatible tool like this. It worked fine for the walk, and I cleared our driveway, too. I discharged a 5Ah battery in about a half hour or so.Discharge is just a set of vanes, not a chute. You can set them left, right, or center, but it throws the snow pretty well. The control to set the vanes is on top of the housing, not on the handle, so you have to reach down to switch direction. No wheels, so the unit slides on a skid plate that tends to catch on any uneven pavement joint.You'll still need a shovel for stairs and stoops because you really can't work it into corners. And something more hefty for bigger snowfalls. They call this a 'shovel' but I think 'broom' is more descriptive.

I was extremely suspicious when I purchased this due to the fact that the blade was plastic and seemed like it would take care of powdered snow more than anything. But the last few days up here in Montana, we’ve gotten a mixture of powdered snow, rain and ice. So as soon as I got it in, it took about 10 minutes to assemble, I put in one of my five amp, Makita batteries and got my whole front driveway, walkway steps, and in front of our mailbox done in about 40 minutes.It was very light and easy to use. Granted it can’t dig down into the super frozen ice and doesn’t like throwing ice chunks very easily. But you can just skim on top of what is needed and then dig in where you need as well.I was blown away by how easy it removed the snow that the snow plow driver packed in front of our driveway.I also took a picture after I was done of the bottom portion and blade to see what damage was done due to the fact that I did not go easy on this product, so far no damage at all, and it held up to the ice chunks that tried to throw And the wet snow that it powered through. We’ll see how long this shovel lasts, but so far, I’m extremely impressed with it!

The product was awesome but amazon delivered the box out on th road 100 yards from the driveway to my house. A neighbor brought it to my house after sunset. I'm so angry with the delivery after being nothing but pleased since being a customer. I wish there was a different place to air this but after searching for another platform...I found nothing.

Great buy for the price. It worked very well with this last snow storm. Easy to use and the battery lasted through my entire corner property. So I would recommend to family and friends.
