I recently bought some new furniture for my living room and donated my old stuff. The way I rearranged things left me with no place to put my laptop (which I usually have connected to my TV with an HDMI cable). I shopped around for an end table and decided on this one.The table arrived (disassembled) in a large box which was fitted inside another nearly identical box for shipping. Upon opening the two, I was greeted with a shower of Styrofoam pebbles which had crumbled away from the various Styrofoam packing liners. I happened to be under the weather the day that I received the item and didn't have much energy, so this particularly annoyed me as I had to get the vacuum cleaner out. Furthermore, the crumbled bits of Styrofoam clung by static electricity to every single piece of the end table that came out of the box. I would recommend laying down a plastic garbage bag or two under the box when you open it to hopefully alleviate some of this annoyance.After this, however, the table went together easily. The pieces consist of the top unit (which has the drawer pre-installed), the four legs, the bottom shelf, a small "drink tray" insert for the drawer, and 8 allen-drive machine screws with flat washers and lock washers. An allen key, albeit a small one that doesn't have much leverage, is included with the table to install the screws. The screws have blue locking compound on them and thread into metal inserts in the legs, resulting in a very sturdy assembly...there is no need to worry about the screws going in crooked (like self-tapping wood screws) or pulling out of the wood.A pictorial instruction sheet is included and is easy to follow. The back and front legs are different, so be sure to take note of this (the legs have a small numbered sticker on them to indicate which is which; the sticker is hidden once assembled). A couple of the screws are tricky to tighten because there isn't much room to turn the allen key, but it's doable. If you have a screwdriver with allen bits, this might work better.Once assembled, the table is very solid and sits flat. The finish is beautiful and the quality level appears to be good; I didn't notice any nicks or blemishes anywhere. The table is great for what I needed it for. It fits my 17" laptop with space for a beverage next to it. The bottom shelf is a great place to put my external hard drives. The finish of the table has a classy look without appearing too dated.In summary, this table is well-made, easy to assemble, and looks great. It was also convenient to buy from Amazon and have it delivered to my door. Other than the crumbled Styrofoam that went everywhere when I opened the box, I am 100% happy with this end table.

WOW! What a beautiful end table! It is perfect in every way. Very easy to assemble and took about 20 minutes with my husband helping. Direction states it should take two people but I could have done it on my own. Very well made, legs fit perfectly. Only 6 screws. Beautiful top and the neat thing is has a shelf on the drawer for drinks or whatever! Very sturdy. Could not be happier with this purchase. Grab it while avalable!

The black marks you see other reviewers talking about are supposed to be there. These tables are meant to look rustic as if someone had a pile of boards laying around and made a table. The "black marks" help with that aesthetic. If the black marks weren't supposed to be there, they wouldn't be on almost every table. Think about it! They don't look bad either, they just make the boards look repurposed if that makes sense. That being said these are great little tables. They're not real wood. They are compressed particle board, so if you are looking for real wood you might want to look elsewhere. The tops are flat though they appear to be grooved. You don't want to get any kind of liquid on these table tops since it is just a faux wood sheet of some sort that can bubble if it becomes wet then dries. They do have the appearance of real wood though. They're very nicely done. The drawers pull out and have a black slat you can lay across the opening. I use that to place a coaster and put my drinks on. The bottom shelf is a great place to put an Amazon Echo if you have one! Of course anything can go there, but that's what I did and I love it! Assembly wasn't as simple as some of the reviewers have stated but wasn't terribly hard. I'm giving these tables 5 stars for the price, look and functionality.

Great little table. Easy to assemble and all parts included. Finish and color matches the Mission recliner next to it. Good price.

Bought one of these many years ago, so was thrilled that I could another matching piece. For the money it’s an excellent buy, well made and easy to assemble. But the 4 stars are for the random black marks on the piece. Some reviewers say this is part of the distressed look. Perhaps it is but if that’s the case it’s poorly done and would be better off without them. They look like someone took a thin sharpie and randomly drew on the puece. They are not terribly noticeable so I will live them but someone else may see them has a defect which in my opinion they are (an unnecessary). Photo shows them on 2 sides of the legs, but not shown are the similar markings on the table top.

This is an attractive, well-made table. Good quality construction and easy to assemble. You will need a Phillips screwdriver to remove protective blocks before assembly, but an Allen key is provided to put the table together. Good value for money and real wood.

This is a well packaged from the manufacturer. It is heavy and very sturdy and good quality wood. It was very easy to assemble. The drawer is already attached to the table. I ordered 2 and they were both easy to assemble.

We have a small living room, so we wanted slimmer end tables. These are the perfect fit. They are darker than they appear in the picture. Which is something we really love. They are well built and very sturdy. We are betting these will be around forever. Really easy to put together. My husband had both built within an hour. I highly recommend these end tables.

I ordered two and I love them. Just the right size for the space. The drawers were added bonus for storage.
