We’ve been very happy with this water filter pitcher. The water tastes noticeably clean and fresh, and it’s reassuring to know it filters out PFAS — something many water filters don’t usually address. We change the filter about every three months, and it’s very easy to swap out. I also subscribed directly through LifeStraw to have replacement filters sent automatically every three months, which makes maintenance simple and hassle-free.The pitcher feels well made and thoughtfully designed, and the filtration gives real peace of mind when it comes to drinking water quality. You can actually taste the difference, especially compared to basic carbon filters.Overall, this is a great option if you’re looking for cleaner-tasting water and more advanced filtration than standard pitchers.
I bought this pitcher in September 2023 and have really liked it! The water tastes great to me and I like the ethos of the Lifestraw brand. It filters the water a little slower than other filters I've used in the past but that doesn't really bother me much as a single person household. I have just made a habit of always filling it again after I have used it for a glass of water or to make tea.Like many others in these reviews it started leaking from the base seam about a month ago April-ish 2024. I contacted Lifestraw on their normal website and they replaced it for me. They sent me a whole new pitcher and filter housing which was really nice. I was only expecting the outer pitcher part. For those who were not aware they have a 3 year warranty! Just make sure you purchase this from Amazon LLC and not a third party seller. I do hope they work on this design flaw with the plastic models. The glass version was my ideal pitcher as I try to not use plastic much in my kitchen but I can be clumsy and was afraid I would break that one so I went with the plastic version.
New buyers beware, the instructions included in the box are incomplete, and in some cases different than instructions found on the lifestraw youtube channel (because yes, that seems reasonable) and a single PDF I found on their website AFTER ruining my first filter after a mere week of use.According to instructions in the box, for long term storage leave the filters in and DISCARD the water. That seems like a recipe for mold to me but I was only planning on not using it for a couple days so I didnt worry about that.Well the membrane filter COMPLETELY dried out and is now ruined. According to the ONLINE instructions, what I should have done is make a saline solution and leave the membrane filter in that.I'm sure this is purposeful, to make you need to buy more filters. There are other discrepancies in the instructions but I feel this is the most major one as it completely ruins the filter making it unusable.Currently the filter has been sitting on my table for the past 2 hours AFTER my attempts to "re-hydrate" it, and it hasnt passed a single drop through.Shame, because if it wasnt for this garbage companies bad faith, it'd be a good product.
This Lifestraw pitcher is a replacement for a Clearly Filtered pitcher I had for years. The handle broke off, it was difficult to clean, and it was very expensive, so the search began for another option. I’ve been using this Lifestraw product for a few weeks now, and I’m very happy so far. The company has a great reputation for filtering the water and actually making it safer, while also contributing to the those in need. I was able to fit the 10 cup pitcher in my refrigerator door after removing an upper shelf, which I think helps keep the pitcher cleaner than leaving it out on the counter. Also, the filling mechanism is superior to most competitors, as you don’t have to take the lid off to fill and it doesn’t leak if you pour before filtering is complete! The pitcher can become quite heavy on the wrist when filled, but I don’t see the handle breaking easily because it is located higher than others I’ve used. I did purchase the silicone base/sleeve for protection because I have children who might put it down on a hard surface, and the sleeve fit like a glove. Can I also add that the Lifestraw pitcher is actually attractive? It isn’t an eyesore on the dinner table if you entertain. That wasn’t something I required, but it is added bonus. At this time, I would definitely recommend this pitcher filter!
The filtered water tastes and smells great. It falls a little on the expensive side. The design is good to look at but makes it difficult for use as its not really 7 cup on a single fill. So, the size is not proportional to the capacity. I bought a BPA free plastic one but still use it with Silicone Base that I purchased separately as I read many reviews which said the pitcher is not durable and started leaking.
The water from this is phenomenal. It honestly feels like even the texture of the water is somehow softer and better. I love that it directly states it can be stored countertop, as many filters specifically say fridge only.It DOES take a long time to fill. Don't let the videos showing a steady stream fool you, they either tampered with their filter or it is faulty. Even after two weeks of filling the pitcher 2-3 times daily, I don't get anywhere near that speed. I do, however, get about the speed LifeStraw claims. LifeStraw very specifically says it takes about 7-10 minutes for water to drip through the cone and 25-30 minutes total to fill the entire pitcher. The water quality is just insane though, and the fact that it filters out bacteria, parasites, chlorin, and microplastics make it totally worth a small amount of patience and preparation. I just have a large metal pitcher that I fill with the purified water, so I always have some on hand, and whenever I pass through the kitchen I pour water into the pitcher as needed.
We love it. We have very hard water & it makes a HUGE difference for our drinking water.

The LifeStraw filtered water jug is a solid choice for those looking for clean, great-tasting water on a daily basis. The filter does an excellent job of purifying water, leaving it tasting fresh and clear, without any of the usual aftertaste from tap water or bottles. It’s incredibly easy to use and does a great job of reducing contaminants, making it a reliable option for everyday hydration. My only real disappointment is the container itself—while functional, it’s not made of glass, which would have been a nice touch. A glass design would have felt more premium and sustainable compared to the plastic construction. Nevertheless, the jug is durable and does the job well, making it a great investment for improving your water quality without the need for single-use bottles.I am a picky water drinker and prefer bottled water but this tastes great and I approve!
