4k OLED with 240hz. Color saturation is great. Haven't had any issues so far. Great gaming monitor if your pc can push 4k at 240fps.

After calibrating, the display is beautiful with vibrant colors and deep blacks with no blooming. Text is nice and crisp. I don’t game but do a lot of RAW image and 4K video processing and it works great. The stand is sturdy and is readily adjustable. Refresh rate 120 Hz on my desktop, no issues. I am really happy with this monitor, more so in that I got it at an excellent sale price.

This is a near excellent monitor. The quality of the stand and screen is excellent. The monitor looks great out of the box, with little configuration needed. The monitor does provide the advertised 240Hz refresh rate and resolution as advertised. If you are not getting the correct resolution and refresh rate, the issue is likely the cable you are using. This monitor performs well in light environments, and has a great anti-glare coating. Some people may find the screen to be too “matte” and would prefer a more glossy coating from another brand.

I bought this monitor and it broke after 3-4 months. The power/menu button in the back actually split in half! I contacted Samsung and they said it was "physical damage" outside the warranty. They invited me to pay to ship it to them and pay to have it repaired. I refused and bought a similar monitor from another vendor. I think this product is a scam where:1. You pay Samsung ~ $1,000 for a monitor they KNOW has poor build quality2. The monitor breaks3. Samsung informs you the break is outside the warranty terms4. Samsung makes more money off of a repairDon't fall for this scam!

I’d heard many good things about Samsung OLED monitors, so I decided to give one a try—especially since it was on sale. The brightness and sharpness of the picture quality are exceptional, particularly during video and photo editing. I also tested a couple of PS5 Pro games, which, interestingly, looked better than my PC games. If you’re primarily a console gamer, I think this is one of the best options on the market.Unfortunately, I’m more of a PC user and was looking for a monitor to fit into a dual-monitor setup. As shown in the photo, the colors were completely off when HDR was enabled unless heavily adjusted. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get the colors to display accurately, so I’ve decided to return it.

First off, the picture quality is stunning coming from an Acer Predator 27 inch 1440P monitor. The colors are much richer. The blacks are definitely jet black. Two things that bother me. The warranty is supposed to be 3 years but the included paperwork says 1 year. After looking online it seems to be an issue. Hopefully I can register my monitor on the Samsung website and it will recognize the 3 year warranty. The mini joystick button on the back of the monitor for settings is a pain. If you don't push it squarely in the middle it registers an up or down or left or right movement. It's very finicky.IMPORTANT: If you are going from a 1080P or 1440P monitor to any 4K monitor, you may need to replace your power supply in your PC with a higher wattage one. I didn't stop to think about that. The good people at Tom's Hardware brought it to my attention. A 4K monitor will push your graphics card way higher in wattage consumption. I have a 4090 GPU which is capable of pulling over 400 watts and bursts of 600 or so watts. My current PSU is only 850 watts. After factoring the CPU wattage and other components I was already at the bare minimum. With my 1440P monitor, the GPU was only drawing less than 200 watts. This 4K monitor is probably going to draw max wattage. It was suggested to buy a minimum 1200 watt or preferably a 1600 watt power supply. I went with the 1600 watt. They are expensive! Glad I got a good deal on the monitor at $899. Now my beef with that. The day I got my delivery I saw the Samsung site is selling this monitor for $799. You can't win sometimes.

You are either going to love or hate the matte coating on the glass. The thing to love: no reflections and no glare, and an eye-saver option, so this monitor is easy on the eyes, and for that reason I love it. The perfect monitor for using in a sunlight room. Download the Samsung Display app to easily configure the monitor to your preferences. The thing to hate: the matte finish makes text less crisp than one would expect with this pixel density.

First off, if you are using 1 or 2 of these on an Nvidia video card, then this is an awesome monitor. Gorgeous picture, blur-free movement. -1/2 star for lack of speakers. If you are using this as a single monitor on a desktop, the lack of speakers is unfortunate.But if you plan on running triples (let's say for a race sim or flight sim rig), and you are using an NVidia card, then stay far away from these. In fact, choose your monitor wisely. Here's the deal...High resolution/high refresh/10 bit color/HDR demand a lot of bandwidth to push all that data from the computer to the monitor. There simply was not enough bandwidth before DP1.4. Actually there still isn't enough bandwidth in v1.4, so they introduced Display Stream Compression (DSC) to compress the stream in the video card, reducing to 1/3, and then decompressing it in the monitor. The problem is that Nvidia uses extra resources to support DSC - the equivalent of another monitor output. So a single DSC monitor counts as 2 outputs. And that means 2 DSC monitors max out all RTX cards. No triples at all possible with these monitors with DSC.To make matters worse, output streams that do not require DSC (because they fit uncompressed in DP1.4) still negotiate DSC on this monitor! So even if you manually set 4k@120Hz, you are still using DSC. Set 1024x768? Still using DSC and maxed out with 2 of these. I've confirmed that last year's model (G80SD) does not set DSC with modes that don't require it. This appears to be a bug in their firmware.Some other monitor makers add an option for "Disable DSC". Not Samsung.Raised a ticket with Samsung, specifically "How do I use 3 of these with a RTX4k?" Escalated to next level techs, and still waiting for an answer.-2.5 stars for this, since this is my scenario and it just doesn't work. Sadly returning these and getting 3 monitors that work properly.

This monitor has completely redefined what I expect from a gaming display, and I couldn't be happier with the upgrade.

Performance is breathtaking, with games and movies coming to life with incredible vibrancy and depth. Even the text is rendered perfectly. The design is equally impressive: a super-thin bezel, a full metal back, a minimal input module, and tasteful rear LED lighting that isn’t over the top. The included articulating stand is so gorgeous that it feels like a shame to have it mounted on my monitor arm, but that speaks to its quality.My setup is in a usually dark room, but even with all the lights on, the matte screen handles glare perfectly with no loss to picture quality. The on-screen menu is also simple and intuitive to navigate. I have not used the included cables as I needed longer ones, but the monitor does come with both a 5-foot 8K DP and a 6-foot high-speed HDMI cable, which seem to be of very good quality.Samsung's limited warranty on this product here in Canada is 3 years, but at checkout, I added an Asurion 2-year warranty for $62 for extra peace of mind, because frankly, after using it, I don’t think I could go back. An exceptional monitor and a phenomenal purchase.

Screen is great, some odd rainbow on left half until off and on again sometime but otherwise good. Last week though, I go to turn on my screen and the power button shatters. Cheapest plastic in the world, so now I have to keep screen on forever lest I loose the ability to click any other menu options in the future. Severely disappointed in the terrible button choice. Will not be buying again.

Calibrated in Windows 11 with the ICC profile -- the vivid colors and high refresh rate were mind-blowing compared to my old monitor. Inky blacks and vivid, accurate colors.That's why i was so disappointed when the OSD joystick broke after 3 weeks of normal use (see video). I've been using computers for 30+ years and have never seen anything like this. There is even a forum post that has people 3D-printing replacements for the G81SF joystick cover, so clearly I'm not the only one with this issue!There's an app for windows 11 that's supposed to let you control the OSD but it's missing half of the features of the actual OSD. There's no remote control either, and no built-in speaker.Furthermore, I had to deal with eye strain in games, as QD-OLED is more vibrant, and has higher contrast than my old panel, but this is more of a settings issue.
