The arm and base are thick metal and surprisingly strong for the size, easily believable that it can support serious weight, even though the bed itself is best suited for smaller cats due to the snug inner diameter. The adjustable-height-bed sits under 12 inches above the surface, rotates a full 360 degrees, and can swing out of the way when needed. The rim is soft and plush, while the base feels firm and supportive. Cozy, well-built, and very flexible for desk or bedside use.

I’ve been wanting to try a cat nest for my cat, as she loves lounging in the same spot near the window, and I wanted to give her a more comfortable resting place. When I came across this cat nest from BYBEME, I decided to give it a try.The cat nest arrived in a plain brown shipping box with minimal packing material. The two metal support arms were wrapped in bubble bags, while everything else was either bare or in plastic bags. All necessary hardware and an Allen key were included, though you will need a screwdriver for the screws. Assembly was straightforward and posed no major issues. Once assembled, the unit feels solid and sturdy. It comes with a sherpa-covered foam cushion – cover not removable – that is soft and comfortable for a cat to rest on. The cushion attaches to the platform with Velcro patches on the underside.Attaching the nest to a desk or surface is similar to mounting a monitor arm. It uses a clamp that supports up to about a 3-inch gap, so it should fit most desks or surfaces. I appreciate that the clamp includes thin foam pads to prevent damage to the surface it’s attached to.I clamped the nest to a storage unit next to my window where my cat usually rests. For the first couple of days, she was curious but didn’t jump on it. By the third day, she started using it and quickly became fond of it—whether sleeping or sitting on it and staring out the window.That said, I do have a few minor issues. While the seller did mentioned kittens, the nest still feels somewhat small even with a 14-inch diameter The curved “fence” takes up a noticeable amount of space on the platform, reducing the usable resting area to about 11 inches. It would have been better if the fence were thinner. With the proper tools, you could trim some width off the fence to get an inch or so in space back.After about 3–4 days, I noticed the horizontal arm supporting the platform began to sag slightly. This appears to be caused by the plastic "washer" between the horizontal and vertical arms not fully filling the gap, resulting in a small downward tilt. The sagging is minor but noticeable, just for reference my adult cat weighs around 8–9 lbs. That said, the metal armature still feels strong and does not appear at risk of snapping or breaking.Overall, I think this is a nice product, and my cat does enjoy using it, even though it feels a bit small for her. She can still curl up and sleep on it relatively comfortably, but the design would benefit from a thinner fence and more usable platform space. It’s a perfect size for a small kitten, but larger cats may outgrow it. The wood platform and metal arms are good quality and sturdy overall, aside from the slight sagging issue. At around $50 at the time of writing, I don’t feel it’s overpriced, but it isn’t cheap either. I recommend carefully checking the dimensions to ensure its suitable for your cat before purchasing.

It works well but it’s super tiny, like it’s made for kittens. My small female cat struggles to fit in it, my average sized male cat can’t get in it at all.

The bed itself is way too small for any of my normal-sized cats. If you have very small cats, it's fine - otherwise, find another.

This desk cat bed has been a huge hit. My cat loves being close while I work, and this gives them a cozy spot right next to me. The bed is soft and comfortable, and the size is perfect for curling up.I really like that it’s adjustable and rotates 360°, so I can move it out of the way when needed and then swing it back. It clamps onto the desk securely and feels sturdy enough to hold a cat without wobbling. The little hanging ball is a fun touch and keeps my cat entertained.The only downside is that it does take up some desk space, and it works best on desks with a flat edge. It also took a bit of adjusting to get it tightened just right.

But better size for smaller cats!My cats loves to sleep where I am and this is perfect while working from home!I do really like how sturdy and stable this bed is! Really allows the weight of a larger cat!But the size of the bed itself is small and a full grown cat is maybe too big for the bed size!This was super easy to assemble and the instructions were clear! Easy to find the parts to put it together!While adjusting this to the desk I could tell right away that this was study and would hold the weight of my cats!I just wish the bed was a bit larger for full grown cats to match the weight capacity and sturdiness!Either way my cat stuffed himself in the bed and is happy near me no matter how comfortable!Overall this bed is a quality build and can work with most tables to support the weight!

After a shelf I recently assembled, it was such a relief to get the cat nest with properly labeled pieces and instructions that are both easy to follow and correct.I have a different desk clip-on cat bed already, but the kitten really wants to curl up next to her dad, so I needed to get a second one! I like the design of this one and it's definitely more sturdy since it has a wooden platform rather than a hoop with a fabric bowl.
