Perfect condition, came on time, kids love it

This was so not as sturdy as it looked, and for the price I thought it would be a lot better than it is. You can never get the tracks to stay together. They do not snap in place like other tracks. If you or the car on the track moves the track at all you lose contact. You then have to try to find where it is not touching and hope it does not make other parts of the track come apart. The only way that we were able to get the track to work like it should was to purchase a 6 foot table and plywood. My husband put the track on the plywood and anchered it down and then we put it on a table so you could play with it. Now the problem is the track is no longer movable from room to room. I would just look into another one before you send your money on this one.

Absolute hunk of garbage. The track will not stay together in the least when putting together. DO NOT BUY THIS !!!!!!VERY POOR DESIGN OF THE TRACK.Every time you bump this thing the track comes apart. It's not even runable

Great set

I ordered this Covsen -30FT Electric Race Car Track with 4 Slot Cars(1:43) for kids for my grandkids (6 & 8yo) for Christmas.They were excited as can be to open it on Christmas Day. Then came the frustration, as their mom did her best to assemble it, with limited success. She actually has great DIY skills, but the track does not go together easily and the cars need a bit of finesse. Definitely a task for "Papa", the Engineer and Super Fixer of all things, who built and raced slot cars in the 60's. Even for me this set was a 90 minute challenge! The track pieces do NOT fit together easily, or consistently, and in many instances do not fully lock together, no matter how much force, or finessing you use. (see photo) I often found sections popped apart after more were added and my arthritic wrists were crying by the time I was done.The instruction sheet isn't really very clear and I found myself referring to the illustrations on the box for added clarity.One bit of advice for assembling the loops. Start by attaching a single curved section to each ramp, then assemble the ramp to the rest of the track. Assemble the rest of the curved sections into a loop and then attach the loop to the ramp and track.Once everything is assembled, plug in the controllers, then USB power. This can be from a wall source, or a power brick, which is nice for portability. Next you have to finesse the cars. You have to flatten the brushes out a bit, and bend them both towards the back of the car at about a 45* angle. This is an important detail or they will not be functional.Running the cars is a bit of a challenge, especially for younger kids. They need to go fast enough to navigate the loops, but not so fast that they fly off the track on turns. Definitely a learned skill, but great fun when mastered! The section where you plug into has a mechanical lap counter and sound effects that sound like the roar of a race car flying by, which adds a bit of cool realism. Another cool touch is the light up headlights on the cars. Our granddaughter caught on fairly quickly. Her younger brother not so much, and he quickly got frustrated, threw down his controller and went off to play tablet games. My video below shows a brief instant where they are both fully engaged.The assembled set takes up more space than a typical kitchen table. We moved it to the living room floor temporarily, but will be moving here to our basement dining table for future play.I really wanted to give this 5 stars, but the difficult and unreliable assembly, and high price point compared to competitive sets that are available made it 2 stars at best.

The review made by Brian (Dec 20, 2025) is spot on. Assembly takes a bit of time and patience as getting the tracks to fully snap tight together you will find yourself going back and forth shimmying the edge to get it flush with each other. Expect to spend some time working with the cars to get them tuned right. The braided wire contacts have a bit of stiffness that if you don’t have it bent right can either make the connection intermittent or cause the car’s slot to not sit down low enough for the car to remain in its lane because its front end is propped up just enough by the wire. In my case one care of the four ran like a champ straight out of the box. The other 3 took some trial and error to get them working well so, give yourself another 30min after assembly of the track to tune the cars to achieve enjoyable performance. There is a sweet spot for how far to pull the accelerator such that the car doesn’t fly off on the turns yet make it around the loop. The system works well if you can be patient enough to make all the adjustments to your system as you encounter them.

Electric racing set where you can race each other on a track. There are two controllers but with 4 cars. The rc controller just powers the track so anything on the track will go. You can line up two cars apart from each other, the track will move the cars forward. There is about 30ft of track where you built from the instructions. There is just one design for the build and all of it is powered by a usb. So not much electricty to make these cars go. It is built to just go in a circuit and race by small amounds of electricty. Fun for kids to build and play with for a short time. It has 4 different car designs. The rc remotes are not wireless and have to connect to the track's controller module in order to get it going.

I had a slot car track as a kid in the 90’s, and was excited to give this one a go with my kids. I figured it would be a watered down and safe version of what I had played with, but was pleasantly surprised with the performance. It requires throttle control as the little cars are way too fast.The track was a little tedious to assemble. If at all misaligned they won’t go together. I found it easiest to pull them apart and start over if they wouldn’t go together easily. Other than that it was trouble free.Power is provided via a standard USB brick, so a low voltage setup that is significantly safer than what I used in the 90’s. I was disappointed to see that assuming it would be weak, but boy was I wrong. It uses the 5V supply efficiently!The cars are built better than what I remember. The brushes frayed easily on my vintage setup, but were made sturdier on this one with a weave to hold them together and make a good connection with the track.I had a lot of fun with this, and eventually got my kids into it as well. They were frustrated until I pointed out holding half throttle allows the cars to lap consistently, and sometimes slow is fast.The kid is a good size, so plan a good area for it. I started in the living-room which was poor planning, but then moved it to a seldom used pool table. Great nostalgic setup for a very reasonable price. No regrets picking up this track!
