This is my first cordless weed trimmer after using a gas powered one for many years. I was very impressed how lightweight it is. It's very easy to use and it does a great job cutting all the weeds and grass around the edges of my house, shrubbery, front walk, driveway and porch. And it's much quieter than my old gas trimmer. The handle is adjustable to allow ease of use at different angles.Assembling the weed trimmer was very quick and easy. All is needed is a Phillips head screwdriver to attach the grass guard. It also includes two batteries and a charger which is very useful, especially for larger areas to cut and it includes 7 extra spools of trimming line.I was impressed what a great job it does for the price and I'm very happy with this purchase. I would highly recommend this product.

This weed wacker is awesome! Over the years, I had resigned myself to taking a backseat to yard work as the gas powered trimmer was too intimidating for me and heavy to hold for any length of time. Those days are now gone with this cordless trimmer! The packaging and assembly were simple and included two batteries with a charging cable, multiple spools of extra line, and a user’s guide. I’ll be honest, I only opened the user guide to confirm how to attach the edger wheels, that’s how simple it is to operate. After charging both batteries, I went to town along the fence in the yard, as well as around a swingset, mailbox, garden edge, and patio. This trimmer is powerful and lasted through it all with just one battery. Adjustable handle angles make this trimmer comfortable to hold as well. I’m already looking forward to my next chance to bust it out! Highly recommend!

I bought this because I didn’t want a bulky lawn mower. This is perfect. I was able to cut my entire front lawn in about 20 mins and still had enough batter to cut the side yard and half of my backyard. It’s very lightweight and easy to use! The batteries take about a hr to fully charge. Plus it turns into an edger as well. This is perfect for beginners as well as pros.

This is the best weed Wacker and edger that I have ever purchased. I originally had a Ryobi Weed Wacker that was heavy to handle and actually did not do as good as a job as HTCFly. In fact the Ryobi motor just died on me and I had not had it for even 1 year, so big name products, does not always equal the best product.This Brand, HTCFly not only works great as a weed Wacker, it also has a bonus edger for sides of walkways etc, which is also great. Very light weight with two batteries and an charger and you don't have to bump it (Ryobi needs bumping) the string comes out on its own. Easy to put together and to change the reel and works fantastic. I recommend this brand 100 percent, I love it.

I chose this weed-whacker based on the high rating and because several reviewers noted its light weight.It came in a much smaller box that you would expect, but snapped together simply and easily and I was all ready to go in 15 minutes.I started charging the spare battery, clicked in the other battery, and outside I went to do battle with the overgrowth.The only downside of this little gem, which really isn't a downside as much as a specification, is it is, what I would describe, as "light duty." You've got to know it's limitations regarding the size of the stem of the plants in your project area.Most blackberry vines were no problem and tree branches and other plants with stems smaller than 1/4 inch diameter are totally within this unit's capabilities.It is light, as advertised, but capable. I really like it and am very happy with the purchase. And the battery did not discharge over an hour of use.It does not have auto-line feed, so bear that in mind.Know its limitations, that it's not heavy duty, and it is a very useful and capable little unit. Highly recommended!

Exteremely lightweight, handy, easy to put together. The trimmer line is a lighter line so don't expect to easily clear brush or heavy weedy areas, but adequate for normal lawn maintenance. The battery is plenty powerful enough to do the job. The trimmer body is easy to fold up for storage as well. Ideal for small yards. The trimmer quality is tough for how lightweight it is. Materials is impact resistant plastic and aluminum tubing. Intuitive trigger style control with an ambidextrous safety. It comes with two extra spools of trim line, a rechargable battery, and a wall charger. Note: You will need a phillips head screwdriver to put it together.

I received the red version of this trimmer, and it is a nice classic weed trimmer! You get some spools to keep you going and 2 batteries and a charger which is awesome since having to find the right match can be annoying. It has a shovel style handle on the front to keep it out from you while you use it and for me that can be a little hard on my back but I got a strap which should help with that. It is not too heavy otherwise, the batteries are not high so they don't weigh too much.This one is a push button feed to get more line out, so when they say automatic line feed, they mean you still have to stop, lay it down, bend down and press the button, so that is okay but I prefer the kind you can just tap on the ground and it shoots some more out. But I can get past it, because it has the wheels on the side so you can do the edging with ease. So that is a bonus plus the batteries. It was easy to put together too, which is nice. I recommend this, I wish it was tap to reload but otherwise it is a decent unit for the price, especially with 2 batteries and a charger. Perfect for small lawns.

My previous trimmer was corded and every time I used it I spent about five minutes untangling the cable from itself before even starting. This one has none of that. Pick it up, press the safety lock, pull the trigger, and you're going. The battery charges in two hours and lasts long enough for the edging and trimming I need to do in an average session. The part that I keep noticing is how quiet it is. The motor itself barely makes any sound, and even the line spinning around isn't the kind of noise that bothers the neighbours or makes you feel like you need ear protection. I used it on a weekday morning and didn't feel self-conscious about it, which is something I would not have been able to say about my old gas trimmer.The trimmer-to-edger rotation is satisfying to use. One button, a smooth turn, a click, and it locks. I've switched modes a few times during the same session when moving between the fence line and the sidewalk edge and it never felt awkward. The spools are a bit small and I'll need to replace them before too long, but spare ones come in the box and Makita-compatible accessories are easy to find. Handle positioning could allow for a bit more range of adjustment for taller users, but for a compact yard tool it's a minor point rather than a real problem.

Overall this is a nice trimmer with a few issues:- spools are tiny, REALLY tiny, only 4 cm wide and 1.5 cm thick.- only a single 2.0 Ah battery is included so you need to make sure to charge it up before using it. It is a Makita compatible battery, so if you have other batteries you could use them with this trimmer.- I couldn't get the wheel installed, there's a tab on the wheel which is used to secure it to the trimmer and it is extremely stiff and you need to squeeze really hard to get it to clip in and I couldn't squeeze it hard enough to get it push in. I gave up. There's also another location you can attach the wheels to on the guard which would allow you to use the trimmer in a wheeled format. I couldn't get the wheels installed onto there either. A second set of wheels would've been good as you could install them into both locations, assuming you could get them on. Once these clip in, assuming you can get it installed, they're unlikely to come off.- The handle is located in a fixed position and cannot slide down lower.Included in the box is:- Trimmer in 3 sections with pre-installed reel.- Wheel attachment- Trimmer guard- Manual and 2 screws- 2 spare spools of string- Single 2 Ah battery (Makita compatible)- ETL certified barrel chargerAccording to the manual, there should be 2 batteries and 8 spools, but there aren't.According to the manual, the runtime is 15 minutes per 2 Ah battery. Takes 2 hours to charge.The manual doesn't specify the thickness of the string.Assembly was pretty quick, it took less than 10 minutes to assemble.- The rod sections just snap into each other.- The guard just slides in and is screwed down with the 2 included screws.- The wheels just slide into the clip, assuming you can get them in to begin with.In using this, I found that it worked quite well. I was ok with the handle positioning, but I felt it was too close together. Shorter people wouldn't have a problem with this as I noticed the first thing they do when they borrow my other trimmer is move the handle back and not have it so far down.The line automatically feeds upon startup, so no need to bump the trimmer to feed it. That's one thing I noticed about the trigger, after pressing down the safety lock (which is ambidextrous) you can half pull on the trigger to still have it on, but not engaged. This allows you to use the trimmer with a full pull of the trigger, and if you let it half down, it'll stop trimming, and if you need to start it up again, you can just pull back on the trigger to re-engage the trimmer. There's no need to press down onto the safety latch again unless you fully release the trigger. The trigger is easy to press.The handle, like the head is easily tilted by depressing the releases on the side which are easy to push in. There are fixed positions where they lock in.The button which allows the unit to rotate from trimmer to edger is easy to push in, and it rotates quite easily and smoothly. You can tell when it's locked in as it makes a loud click sound when it's locked into position.This motor is really quiet, the bulk of the noise is from the string whipping around, but even so, the trimmer overall isn't that loud.-1 star for the whole wheel thing and lack of a 2nd wheel. I'm stuck deciding as to where I want to install the wheel, assuming I want to give it another whirl or ask a friend with strong muscles to get the wheel in. I'm also not keen on the tiny spools, it will mean I will need to wind it more often. I need to figure out the diameter of the string first before I buy more string.
