I purchased this as a sleep tracker only (when my fit-t died after less than a year and the company got acquired by the data-mining king). Then I realized I could use this instead of the Pol-r chest heart rate strap I was planning to get for my rowing machine, and that arm/wrist placement is way more convenient. Then I realized the app keeps improving and tracks a bunch of stuff including my workouts. I compared it to my friend's $pple device after a long hike and the stats were almost identical. Even food logging is so simple, you can speak your foods and it calculates calories and protein content fairly quickly and accurately, plus you can edit entries. Then I got into an argument with my sister and the thing started vibrating violently on my wrist (I didn’t even know it could vibrate) and I realized it was warning me my stress level was too high! So this thing is ending up to be FANTASTIC and way more useful than I thought. The only negative so far is that the strap it comes with is too large for me (I have tiny wrists and arms and could use it as a bicep band except it is non-stretchy so uncomfortable there), BUT it uses regular style watch bands (22mm) so that is another plus! Get whatever band you want. I love that this device is comfortable, lightweight, has good battery life and allows me to wear a regular watch (you know, the kind with an always on display that doesn't need nightly charging). With the added security of not tracking and selling data without my permission, no subscription and an affordable price i think this is a NEAR PERFECT fitness and bio tracker. (Please, Amazfit, don't let a bigger company buy or influence you and ruin this good thing you have going).

I got tired of wearing a big, bulky Garmin and wanted to get back to my traditional mechanical watches. The Helios band gives me the daily step and health data I want, plus a few things Garmin didn’t, andwithout the oversized watch on my wrist. It passively collects data, all of which is viewable in the Zepp app.I also picked up the Amazfit Balance 2 for running and strength training, when I actually want a screen. Both devices cost far less than any Garmin option and still give me all the information I need.Let’s be honest: at my age, I’m not an elite athlete and I’m not landing on any ultramarathon podiums. These tools fit my needs and my budget perfectly.

Updated review Jan 2026 - FYI battery life is excellent, usually 6-7 days before charging and best news is that it looks like the algorithm is self learning which is great. I can now wear on my wrist, it recognized workouts (identified as "activities") and is as accurate as my Garmin 55. Performance is now very similar if not equal to Whoop and Garmin. The App could use some updates but otherwise definitely a strong alternative to Whoop.Updated review - now 4 stars. Moving Helio Strap to bicep made a total difference. I will try GPS mode and also moving monitor to my upper arm and report back.Heartrate - accurate and same as Whoop. However calculations of heart zones during exercise way off (too low)Overall I still believe this is very good value for the money and will continue to use. Great device for fitness tracking, comparable id say to a whoop. Battery lasts around 9 days. Appearance is slim and not too noticeable. App connectivity and UI is amazing and easy to navigate. 100% worth it for the price.

This is an excellent find on Amazon. It’s changed my workouts, sleeping habits and overall provided me with invaluable insights. The best part is that you DO NOT need to buy a $300 a years subscription to use it. It’s easy to charge and wear. The loop it’s a little tough to get off but it’s that way for a reason. It prevents it from flying off your wrist in case the Velcro comes undone. I highly recommend this product!

Overall, I’m very satisfied with this Amazfit band—it is extremely comfortable, barely noticeable on the wrist, and the companion app is accessible and user-friendly. The battery life is impressive, lasting me about 10–11 days, which included tracking two strength workouts and one run. While I knew beforehand that it lacks built-in GPS, the one significant downside is the inability to create structured running plans (based on heart rate, speed, etc.) within the app; even though it’s not a dedicated running watch, I expected to at least be able to run a plan via the phone, but that isn't possible. Despite that, it's a great device for general fitness tracking.

This replaces a FitBit. Things I love about this: Battery life is at least 10+ days as promised. It has heart rate broadcasting via bluetooth so I can get onto my bicycle with a head unit, and it's good to go. It will push resting heart rate, sleep, and steps to Intervals dot ICU which is great alternative to the Garmin universe. On the downside, I found it too irritating on my wrist - the circular disc protrudes too much. I don't have faith the hook-and-loop fastener will last too long either, I prefer an elastic style instead. So, I purchased a third party elastic style band and wear it on the upper part of my lower arm. This position may be affecting my sleep tracking as it seems less likely to pick up on times I'm actually awake - sometimes not even catching when I get up at night to use the toilet. Apart from awake time, it generally aligns with the Fitbit sleep tracking.
