This is a budget 3-hole punch for home use, not recommended for use in an office setting where it would get heavy use. The recommended 12 sheet capacity will require a fair amount of downward pressure to punch through 12 sheets of paper and if you're using heavier stock paper it will require more force.For occasional use at home it should be fine.I would rate it 5-stars if it had a guide that allowed for the exact same vertical positioning so you would always have your holes aligned. Because it doesn't have a vertical "stop" guide you have to make sure you center your papers every time so that tops and bottoms of your papers are equal distances to make sure your holes are aligned. So precision alignment will be as good as you're able to align each piece of paper.The bottom has a rubber base so it won't scratch your desk top. The rubber base is removed by pulling off the metal frame. This allows you to empty out the paper holes you've punched.

This is a nice, quality hole punch for the price. Has a little heft to it and doesn't seem cheaply made. The rubber base comes off easily to empty and goes back on again without a problem. It says 12 sheet capacity; I was only able to punch about 10 sheets but I'm older so maybe someone with more arm strength than I have could do 12.

I have not noticed any tearing, rough edges, or misaligned holes. Everything lines up nicely in binders, which is really what you want from a punch.The alignment guides work very well. Pages are easy to line up, and once you set them, the holes come out consistent every time. The handle has a comfortable, slightly rubbery feel that makes it nicer to use, especially if you are punching multiple sets of pages. It does not feel cheap or flimsy when you press down.The rubber base keeps the punch stable on the desk so it does not slide around while you are using it. The chip tray is also convenient to empty and does its job without making a mess. So far there have been no issues with durability, no strange noises, and nothing loosening or bending. Filing systems in Europe are NOT what I'm familiar with. So I had to buy a 3-hole punch to work with all my existing notebooks, etc. Works well, punches cleanly. 10/10 would absolutely buy again.
