So, my wife and I are big fans of these!I've got the green set and she's got purple.They're easy to adjust, they feel quite sturdy like they won't lose their height because the locks feel secure. They'll hold. But I digress, we haven't put them to heavy use yet, so we'll see how long they last. The locking mechanisms may eventually wear out and fail.Ultralight Backpackers!!! Listen up, I doubt I'd try using these for a tent setup. The tention might destroy the locking mechanisms, eventually leading to failure. Heads-up, I do not recommend them for Ultralight trekking pole tents.Movin on, they're lightweight, the grips are comfortable. I doubt I'd lose my grip even if my hands are sweating.They come with several different feet foe the different terrains you'll use then in, and that's at no extra cost. What more could ya ask for at this price?They're great looking, functional, excellent for a first set of trekking poles, too.I'd say these are best suited for day hikes, definitely not thru-hiking, they'd perform fine, I'm sure... but if you buy a set, you'll see what I mean. Ya ultimately get what you pay for with these being less than $40.5/5, I highly recommend these for day hikers and people gettin in some steps for exercise.

Love these sticks. A lot of reviews comment on them slipping. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: there’s a nut at each of the extension points that needs to be tightened down. Once that is tightened securely, the latching mechanism will hold them. Do not use without tightening .If you’re using them for heavy hiking and carrying a lot of weight on them, I would recommend checking that nut every time. If you’re like me and just using them for light, hiking and occasionally balance, these are a great lightweight walking stick with a lot of support. It saved me twice on a recent hike through uneven terrain.

I bought these poles because they are similar to ones we had from Austria at another specialty store for much more, and had loved them. I wanted something similar for my wife.At significantly less money, these are *almost* as good. The entire mechanism on the expensive models is fully metal. This one has a metal cam, but the mechanism holder is nylon, which is not quite as good. But it should be good enough I hope. It feels strong and secure. The poles lock very well with just a flick of the cam lever.In some ways, this is better than the expensive ones: the cork upgrade on the handles is nice, and the nuts have good coverings so you can easily adjust them when you are out trekking without tools or struggling.The product shipped by Amazon was missing a small part (the basket). I contacted the seller and they immediately sent me the missing parts. Excellent service.
