My son suggested I start taking creative monohydrate because studies have shown that it helps with memory for those of us getting older. I chose Nutricost because I use a number of their products (whey protein and vitamins) and have been happy with them. This dissolves easily (I put it in my protein shake or in my electrolyte water during workouts) and there is no taste. The recommended "dose" on the container is 1 scoop a day (which is 5 grams); but, my son and doctor have said that I can take up to 4 scoops a day -- taken intermittently -- I should just start with one scoop a day and slowly work my way up to 4. I've been using it since January, have settled on two per day and actually have noticed that my recall is better. It also helps with my workouts! With 200 servings in a container this lasts quite a while....and the cost is not prohibitive or excessive.

Edit: ordered the bigger container. Still the same product but had to take a star off for no scooper inside. Wasn’t a huge deal I just had to dig out my old one to use. Does not dissolve completely. Even when I put it in my liquid overnight. Still a little gritty but that doesn’t bother me.Good value. I can see the results of this during loading phase. Mixed good and is tasteless. Can mix with whatever I want. Didn’t give me any stomach issues.

I think the product is excellent, but I switched to the capsules (reasons below)...First, the product is great because I found it actually has a salubrious effect on my cognitive function (and it's very rare that a supplement actually has a discernible effect). The powder has no taste or grit and is painlessly mixed and consumed with any beverage.What I did NOT like about the powder however, are two things:1. The tamper evident seal under the cap won't peel off so you have to CUT it out. This necessarily drops fine crumbs of aluminum and paper (or whatever the backing is made of) that inevitably fall into the creatine powder. Maybe no big deal, but getting foreign matter into my healthy supplement is not what I'm after here.2. This powder is extremely fine, like flour. Regardless of how carefully you handle it, this stuff just inevitably spills some whenever and wherever you handle it, on your counter, on your desk, on your clothes, and makes an unpleasant little mess to clean up. Further, the little "dose" cup has channels in the handle where the powder cakes (as well as in the cup itself), which adds to the spill potential.Therefore: I switched to the same product, but in capsules, to avoid the contamination issue, and the mess.
