Nice decoration

These are a very cool decoration for the holidays. I waited a little longer to review these to be able to fully try them out over the holidays and see what sort of feedback my guests might give without asking.Pros:-Everyone that did notice these thought they made a "cozy" addition to my holiday decorating. I used them on the large dining table where all the snack trays and drinks were laid out. They're bright when turned on and illuminate nicely, even through the paint and adhered glitter/decorative embellishments to the glass underneath.-I really like the sizing of the 2 trees. They're in no way small which is great for making them a highly visible beauty to look at for the holidays. The light they emit is a nice, warm, yellow light.-The battery life astounded me. I accidentally left these suckers on after Christmas day was at its end and the following evening I noticed they were still on and going strong. This was after numerous times turning them on/off for around 12 hours a day in the week leading up to Christmas. I never had to put a new set of batteries in for the duration of my personal enjoyment and need for them (as long as I remembered to switch them off eventually). Without a timer (ding ding ding, incoming con below) I get distracted, and once things like this are on I go about doing things and usually don't even realize until I'm shutting things off late into the early morning hours to go sleep that I had forgotten about them.Cons:-Firstly, they have an on/off option and that's all you get. I like the solid warm ambient light (no flashing etc) but you do have to turn them off yourself. Even flameless candles you can find most places now have an on/off/timer 3 way switch option where they'll just light for maybe 6 hours, off for 12, back on for 6 sort of thing.-One huge thing about the added embellishments is they shed. Like anything that has sequins or glitter, it's not going to stay out on these trees without some debris. You won't see any bare spots thankfully, but you will have to clean up their small dusting of glitter debris later off of the surface they're sitting on, OR off of your hands any time you touch them. This includes each time you pick them up to turn them on/off from the bottom. So if you have a huge annoyance towards glitter, this could be a problem.-Neutral Info-The glass is pretty durable although one had the star on top break cleanly off when it was knocked down a 3rd time before I placed the trees in their permanent tabletop spot for the holiday. The fall was from about a coffee tables height to the plush carpet and was sort of brushed off the table by a coat sleeve. (If that helps you.)*Repair Remedy I used: I took a hot glue gun and replaced the glass star. The break was so clean it adhered back nicely. The final image of them lit on the table is after the star was reattached to one of the 2.Final statement:Overall, I really do like them. Functionality is good. The size is great and they look beautiful lit, but I do wish a couple things were different: Less of a debris minefield after touching, a 3 way switch option for on/off/timer (not picky on the timer specific setting myself). And-A super helpful addition- since they're glass, maybe include a reusable thick plastic storage case or padded zip case so they can be enjoyed multiple seasons over years and then stored safely away between holidays. (Then we're not all repacking these into cardboard or bubble wrap and then a subsequent storage tote.) This would make it even more appealing as a buy and you could skip the bad Styrofoam that sheds everywhere/sticks to everything and isn't bio-friendly. I would even pay a tad more to have this stuff added.*All that said, I will pack them up, hope they survive storage, and definitely will use them again next year. I am still considering spraying them with acrylic clear spray for painting to shed less.

Very pretty! I would have liked better if the lights were a little brighter. However, I am enjoying them this Christmas season!!

Not real mercury glass. Plastic with glitter applied to the exterior which falls off and gets everywhere. The description does not mention faux mercury glass or the use of glitter.

These trees are very pretty. The glitter does fall off and go everywhere, just as you would expect. I am disappointed that only one of my trees will light up. The batteries last for quite a while in the one that does work. I wouldn't call them a great value for the money since they don't both light, but they are pretty even when they are not lit. They are decent sized. I just wish they had better quality control for functionality.
