I got this to help keep the cost of cooling down, as a lot of the heat in my apartment is from humidity. I also have a severe mold allergy, and this coupled with my air filter has been an absolute game changer. I run this in my bathroom and laundry room and it reduces the drying time of both rooms during use, which means I don't have to meticulously scrub everything down to prevent mold nearly as often. I can't afford another air filter (I have mine specially made due to the nature of my allergen sensitivities and it's quite expensive) so I thought that getting a little portable dehumidifier would help. I was right! I'm disabled, so scrubbing everything out once a week is too hard for me to keep up with physically. I squeegee out all my sinks and tubs after use, run this for a few hours, and all is well! Super happy it has a night mode, too, as I do run it in my room sometimes.My apartment has vinyl floors that absorb liquids really easily, so mopping used to involve mopping and then drying the floor so mold wouldn't grow underneath or warp the vinyl. Now I can just run this instead. It's really light, easy to use, and super convenient. Honestly worth more than the what I paid for it by far, given the quality of life upgrade. Easy to empty, easy to clean, love it.

I really wanted to like the ToLife TZ-C2 Dehumidifier. The price was right, and it was an attractive, compact, quiet unit. The problem was, as some others have mentioned, it didn't do an effective job of removing much moisture and humidity from the air.Here's my story: I live on the Gulf Coast, and in the late spring and early summer, the humidity down here soars. Perhaps my apartment isn't the best insulated, because the digital hygrometer in my bedroom routinely shows humidity readings above 75 percent during warm seasons. While my apartment unit has a decent central AC unit, I'd like to see the humidity down around the 45 to 50 percent range. So I recently figured that purchasing a dehumidifier would be a good option for accomplishing that. I really mainly wanted the appliance for my bedroom, to increase the comfort level when I'm sleeping.My bedroom measures about 150 square feet, so it's not a huge space. I had hoped the ToLife unit would do the trick, but after running it for 6 hours, I only observed a scant amount of liquid in the water tank. The humidity reading didn't change much from the 75% to 85% range during that time frame. So, reluctantly, I decided to return it.Maybe I got a defective unit. As the old expression goes, “your mileage may vary.” Maybe an even smaller room – in the 100 square foot range – might be more suitable for this ToLife device. I decided to go with a different dehumidifier from another manufacturer. It's in the $200 price range, but it's rated for 3X the square footage – the TZ-C2 is rated for 1000 square feet.One thing I can say about the unit is that repackaging it and returning it is fairly simple. Just remove the water tank and let it dry thoroughly, then put it back in the product box, and put that box inside the Amazon shipping box. I then took it to a UPS Store to ship with their handy QR code. I'm sorry this didn't work out, as it's a cute little appliance.This wasn't a failure on Amazon's part whatsoever! Sometimes a product just isn't the right fit!

This is a very effective dehumidifier for its size. It is small, attractive, and super easy to use. We run it in our basement during the more humid months, and it makes the air much more comfortable and effectively reduced the chance of mold. Very high quality for the size and price!Just be sure to empty regularly to ensure the best results.

We’ve had this dehumidifier running almost permanently since we purchased it. We placed it in the middle of our residence and it does its job decently well. Our Google Nest generally had the humidity of our apartment at around 62% prior to running the dehumidifier. With the dehumidifier, we were closer to 56-58%.I believe it’s supposed to be capable of getting down to 45% but we never got below 55% so perhaps it’s a room size issue.It’s not too loud, but the night time setting didn’t decrease the volume as I thought it would based on other reviews… just turned the lights off on the panel.Overall I’m really happy with it and I feel like it handles the Texas humidity well enough.
